June 26, 20179 yr UbonJoe I have two questions: 1. When traveling on a tourist visa do I need to have an air ticket out of Thailand? 2. If yes, I have a multi entry TV, does the air ticket have to be within the entry time or can it be at the end of the visa? I can make my last entry in September, stay 2 months, get extension, and then fly out on my ticket 2 weeks later. Would this be acceptable for entry requirements into Thailand? Thanks for your help!
June 26, 20179 yr 1. A return or onward ticket is not required for entry to the country if you have any valid visa. Some embassies and consulates want a ticket out of the country to issue a tourist visa.

Thanks again for your quick response Not having an outgoing ticket is not a "legal" reason to deny entry to persons with Valid Visas. If you do NOT have long-stay history here, then you are unlikely to have any problem. But be sure to have 20K Baht in cash (which is a valid-reason). So far, no one has been refused entry with a Valid Visa And the Cash - but - people have been threatened/interrogated, then "let in" with cryptic warnings referencing non-existent rules. Therefore, if you have been in Thailand frequently or for longer-periods, read this thread to understand what they Actually Do to people with that history at airports who arrive with Valid Tourist Visas - since the people you may deal with at airports do not necessarily follow/respect their own rules/legal-system: The workaround, for now, is not to use airports or the Aranyaprathet/Poipet border crossing to enter the country - and always have the cash.
