BANGKOK: -- A hunt for a mother who sold her child into the soapy massage sex trade is over.

The woman who the Thai press have dubbed "Mae Lao Pu" was arrested at a hotel in Chonburi.

The 36 year old woman had given police the runaround for three days staying in hotels in four provinces.

But she denies forcing her under 18 child into the sex business - she says she went of her own accord.

The case blew up after a raid of the "We Two Ab Ob Nuat" (soapy massage) behind the market in Lat Prao soi 55, Chok Chai district.

Police from there teamed up with 191 cops and tourist police to hunt for the mother of the sex worker who was underage.

The chase encompassed Chumporn, Bangkok, Rayong and finally Chonburi.

Spokesman Kornchai Khlaiklung said that the mother kept saying she would surrender and would then move onto another hotel.

She was finally apprehended at a hotel in Chonburi, he said.

Last night she was interrogated at two locations in Bangkok and detained as investigations into the case expand.

Have they ever applied that many resources to searching for internationally wanted murderers and gangsters?

LOL. The '191' cops are special branch, so special branch teamed up with the tourist cops on this, not 191 policemen.

Don't think so but they did use 30,000 police and troops to try and apprehend one monk and failed so this by just 191 is outstanding work.

Alleged operator of underage prostitution gang arrested

BANGKOK: -- A woman wanted by police for allegedly using Facebook to lure underage girls into prostitution in Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok was arrested in Chon Buri's Sri Racha district.

Thipaporn “Madam Pu” Maneenoi insisted all the girls were willing workers - a claim countered by the testimonies of girls who worked for her, including her teenage daughter.

Anti-Human Trafficking Division (AHTD) chief Pol Maj-General Kornchai Klayklueng told the media on Tuesday that police had given the 36-year-old a chance to surrender and they arrested her when she did not.

On Wednesday, Thipaporn - who was allegedly in charge of account books for the prostitution ring and booked hotel rooms for girls to have sex with customers - will be brought to apply for a court order for her first detention period.

She will be charged with human trafficking to benefit from prostitution, procuring underage girls for the sex trade and taking minors from their parents.

Her arrest followed a raid last Tuesday on the V2 Entertainment massage parlour in Bangkok’s Wang Thong Lang district, where police arrested Thipaporn's alleged male accomplice.

At the same time, another police team nabbed three unnamed local politicians in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district for allegedly buying sex from underage girls procured by the gang.

On the same day, another police team arrested Pak Chong Resort caretaker Winai Jaengploy, 56, on the same charge.

The five men insisted they are innocence.

The issuance of arrest warrants for the six suspects and the raids stemmed from an AHTD operation in May that resulted in the arrest of “Amara Bee”, a 15-year-old girl who received commissions for procuring underage girls for the gang.

During the operation police found a 14-year-old runaway girl and five other underage girls working for the gang in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Muang district.

Thai lifestyle (Gold and Money).

More I live in this country, More declining it is.

There are also bars in Hua Hin that deserve to be inspected, those where the girl works for the mother.

Whether the daughter went of her own accord or not is irrelevant; any mother who condones her own daughter working in the sex trade is just an oxygen stealing piece of scum.  She should be spayed, like a dog, to stop her having any more kids!
