I challenge any of you commenting here - go to Koh Tao and see how long it takes you to find a rope either by shopping for it or finding it just laying around so you can go hang yourself from a tree  .......................sorry seriously ......seriously!!!!!!!!!

The island has some serious problems and with it Thailand. How long before the next time dies there.

Yes, I can't think where on earth she could have found a rope on khao tao, an Island....

The thing is, Sweet, she didn't 'hang herself' anywhere near a boat or a harbour after fleeing to the other side of the island in a hurry.

Nobody said she hung herself near a boat.

Especially so when those in charge wish to maintain the status quo at any cost.

It's rumoured that the Tuvichiens and the Chan O Chas enjoy cordial relations, particularly the family matriarchs.

Randomly ended up on Koh Tao for a week earlier this year, and heard about the Russian girl missing and all the other suspicious happening there and Koh Phangan.

I traveled alone and went a lot around the islands, never felt unsafe, but I'm a male and like to think a bit "street smart". Also met a American couple living there and they claimed they always felt safe and claimed the stories ware exaggerated. But knowing how the Police is so easily bribed,  protective of the tourist industry, and all these mysterious happenings, especially this one and the guy suicide hanging with hands tied behind his back it seems very clearly to me something very suspicious going on.

Just found this. Some of you probably seen it before, but I thought it seemed sort of relevant..

When the Samui Court judges first issued the ruling convicting the B2, saying that it was not normal that someone goes swimming drunk in the rain at 3 or 4 in the morning, there appeared on ThaiVisa a bunch of anecdotes from members saying they had done at times just that.

But for 2 other deaths involving persons who maybe went swimming drunk at 3 or 4 in the morning, a bunch of others posted that no one would ever do that. It seems the consensus here now is that there is a serial killer on the loose and that indications that these are a series of unfortunate but unrelated events is to be discounted.

Uh, no, Crab, wrong. Posters were saying that Luke Miller wouldn't have climbed onto the flimsy roof of a DJ booth through barbed wire in order to jump head-first into a four foot deep pool at a deserted premises.

By the way, for those who are not familiar with JLCrab, he is of a similar ilk to Bannork: He will come up with a million different theories to explain all the unusual deaths on Koh Tao. But not one of those theories will entertain the idea that there is a small group of privileged islanders who are above the law and who are killing people. I wonder why?

The recent death of the Belgian woman involves someone with a long history on the islands besides Koh Tao and could involve persons who are not the locals that some suggest are part of the serial killer squad.

As I said in my last post .

And DiscoDan's posting furiously on his CSI Samui twitter that Elise was murdered by the Koh Pangan religious cult, if she didn't commit suicide.

The Koh Tao mafia apologists really have their work cut out nowadays. No wonder the big Koh Tao mafia family are desperately trying to keep their boy off the island as much as possible: it's a complete disaster for them every time he returns home .

I see so he has to create his mayhem during only those short times when he is allowed on the island -- maybe he has his on-island lackeys arrange things for him in advance.

The above post taken at face value makes perfect sense. But the poster is desperately trying to ridicule the idea that the extroardinary number of badly explained deaths of Westerners on Koh Tao could be the responsibility of of an out-of-control untouchable and his small entourage of thugs.

It's just that when you join these threads you pretend to be impartial (just like Bannork), but go on to post endless proofless theories about what might have gone on. But not one of those theories ever entertains the notion that there might be people above the law on Koh Tao who are involved in these strange deaths. Not only that, you make a big effort (just like Bannork) to ridicule anyone posting a theory that these strange deaths are the responsibility of 'connected' people on Koh Tao. Why do you expect to be taken seriously in these discussions when you so determinedly close your mind to the most likely probabilities?

Well I guess that's the rub -- I don't take myself seriously so why should I take a bunch (for the most part) of dilettantes seriously?

there is no serial killer as such - just a bunch of thai thugs that prey on young western women and when they don't get their own way resort to violent rape and murder

CSD has been called in to do a slightly better cover-up job than local police could do.  Fortunately for them the autopsy was performed, as usual, by the police and the body was cremated immediately afterwards and not sent back to Belgium for a proper autopsy.

Whilst i might agree with your reasoning, i would say that, given the Thai mentality, and the need to show off, when in the company of their peers, i would sat that, if it was a bunch of them, then one, who could not keep his mouth closed, would have given the game away by now. Letting loose secrets to a close fiend. And of course we know how that stays a secret, with these people.

On Monday we had a TV thread where Steven Dry Lie told us all these deaths on Koh Tao were not suspicious (thread now gone). He also already knew about this latest death some 6 weeks previously that had not yet been revealed. Just another remarkable coincidence eh?

This one cannot be investigated further because the most important evidence was incinerated. Like all the others this one will be forgotten soon enough by Thai authorities.

Pot-kettle-black springs to mind.

Do you really not realize that you are doing exactly the same with your serial killer theories?

Why can't it be both ? A serial killer who is a connected person ? A serial killer is just someone who has killed 5 or more people

To be classified as serial killer you only need to kill 3 separate people at different points in time.

It is actually very rare that a body is sent to Belgium from any country to perform an autopsy. CSD involvement is probably on request from Belgium government through the Belgium embassy.
In Belgium we have had a few backpackers that have been 'murdered' abroad over the past 5 years and not once they performed aditional autopsies or have sent Belgium police abroad to
investigate the evidence.
