Two Chinese men nabbed for stealing and using a Japanese’s credit card

Two Chinese nationals have been arrested on theft charges for stealing a Japanese man’s credit card and using it on a shopping spree worth over 800,000 baht.

 

The arrest of the two Chinese, 50-year old Yang Mofeng and 36-year old Jia Xiaodong, was revealed on Monday by Mr Kittipong Kittikachorn, director for security of Suvarnabhumi international airport and Pol Maj-Gen Thamnoon Traitippayong, commander of Samut Prakan provincial police.

 

The theft was reported to reported to police at the airport at about 8 p.m. on June 29 by Mr Takashi Okazawa when he received a text message on his smart phone that his credit card had been used in three shopping totalling 803,000 baht while he was still at the airport’s arrival hall building waiting for the arrival of a friend, said Mr Kittipong.

 

It was that time that Mr Okazawa realized that his wallet was missing from his baggage.
