Hello,

I have valid tourist visa until 14 August and thinking to extend it for another 30 days. The question is, can I get extension of visa if my passport on day when extension should expire (13 September) will be 5months and 10 days before expiring?

There is no 6 month passport validity requirement to apply for the 30 day extension. It only has to be valid for the length of the extension.

Thx for the fast reply..

Many confusing info on web..

..I extended visa already 3x so I know they only take the money and do no problems to anyone and I wanna do it  one more time but now have this situation with passport and its bother me, should I book in August or September...so sorry if i ask too much

... I see you are moderator I guess you red already about similar questions  and answers..So you know for sure from someone experience Thai immigration will not make problems when they see its less than 6 months od day od departure

..And then in September when I should book flight my Croatian passport will be expire in 5 and 1/2 months, so I will fly from BKK to Cologne, there i will  change airplane  to continue to Croatia(EU)..they should be no problem with check in for  airplane in BKKbecause my passport?

The 6 months validity is only needed to enter the country for those from certain countries. Once in the country its validity is not important as long as it is still valid when you leave the country. That is why immigration has no rule on its validity when you apply for an extension.

I assume Croatia is like the  majority of countries and allows a citizen to enter with a expired passport so your passport validity is not important.

It should not be a problem in Cologne if you are transiting.

Thank you , spent half day to find the answer..closest answer I found  is this

OK that about the extension is clear, if I am already here important only that my passport valid more than that one month.

So I am transiting, waiting few hours and fly to Croatia..and Germany and Croatia are both European Union .. so I was thinking maybe when checking-in in airport Eurowings have a policy with 6 months ..but don't see reason why should be problem in my case.

I should go to Immigration office and actually apply for extending even it is one month before expiring of visa....day before or month before you can extend it right?

You can apply for the extension during the last couple of weeks of the 60 day entry.

So happy to find this answer. I have the same problem and I could not sleep last night because of thinking about that.

On 14th March I have to apply for a 60 day extension and my passport is valid until 17th June. So there is no problem to get the 60 day extension? - if I understand you correct.
