HI

I am a UK Citizen, i am in the UK between April - July and spend the rest of the year in Thailand, i currently have a 1 year Non immigrant O multiple entry Visa Extension based on child support as i am not married yet, this expires in March 2018. I have been based  in Jomtien and have always used a Visa Service provider  that go through Jomtien Immigration Office.  This July i plan to marry and will be living at my wife's home in Sa kaeo Province.

1. On my return to Thailand next week do i need to inform Sa kaeo (Poipet/Aranyaprathet) immigration of my change of address to Sa kaeo or will entering this on my entry information  be sufficient at the airport?

2. As i will be married  to a Thai i presume once my current O visa extension based on child support expires i can change to a of Non immigrant O Visa based on marriage, which i understand can be a slightly easier application?

3.At the moment my Visa extension runs out each year In March, this is a difficult  time of year for me as i am due back in the UK around beginning of April and i have had issues with delays on obtaining the extension in previous years causing me to delay in my return to the UK. I also have to ensure the required funds are  within my bank for immigration which isn't easy having not worked since the previous July. Thinking ahead to March 2018 should i allow my current Visa extension to expire and head back to UK  between April - July 2018 then  return using a tourist visa in July 2018 and immediately apply for the Non immigrant O visa based on marriage thus moving my yearly extension date to somewhere less problematic?

4. I understand i will no longer be able to use Jomtien Immigration and will have to use Poipet/Aranyaprathet immigration. As i have never completed an application myself does anyone have any experience/advice with dealing with this immigration office for Non immigrant O multiple entry Visa application/extension?

3.  Don't come in with a tourist visa but instead get a single non-O based on marriage whilst you are in the UK.  Then apply for your 1 year extension in October 2018.

I assume you have an extension of stay based upon being the parent of Thai (visas are not extended) and a multiple re-entry permit.

1. You will need to formally change your address at immigration in Aranyaprathet. That will be needed to do your 90 day reports there.

2. You can apply for an  extension of stay based upon marriage instead of being the parent of a Thai during the last 30 days of the extension.

3. Best to get single entry non-o visa instead of a tourist visa while you are in the UK. Easy to get one at one of the consulate or the embassy in London in person or by post. You will need your marriage certificate, a signed copy of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

4. You cannot apply for a multiple entry non-o visa at immigration. Not sure what Aranyaprathet immigration requires. Here is a my general list list of what is needed to apply for an extension. Marriage Extension Requirements.pdf

Thats sounds like a good idea, i will check out what documents i need to do this in the UK. Thanks:)

Should be copy of marriage certificate and wife's ID (signed). No finance required. And the consulates can do the single non O so no need to use the Embassy. Mind you July 2018 is some time away and goalposts could move.

Seems the OP will not marry until he returns from the UK.  If he is not married he cannot obtain a visa based on a future marriage !

He is getting married this month and talking about what to do when he comes back in July 2018.

The OP says ..............

"I am a UK Citizen, i am in the UK between April - July" and "On my return to Thailand next week and "This July i plan to marry and will be living at my wife's home in Sa kaeo Province."
