BANGKOK, 6th July 2017 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has tasked ministries with creating a blueprint for modern farming in the EEC to coincide with environmental conditions.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha delivered a speech during a meeting with the committee on developing the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), stressing the importance of the EEC as a key program in elevating the country to high income status and charging the committee with creating a development blueprint that connects with other regions of the country.

The prime minister said that the project must first focus on creating awareness and understanding among all sectors in order to reduce friction and obstacles and to create a blueprint for modern farming and EEC.

He tasked the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives with designing an agriculture blueprint that promotes the planting of crops that are suited to the environmental conditions of the region.
