I recall a month or so before NY there was a report of similar case in Bkk when teenagers have thrown bomb into public bus....

seems like it is a high season for bomb-throwing in LOS, huh? may be those idiots think of it as part of NY fireworks?

Two employees at an Indian restaurant in the Night Bazaar live across from the mosque. There are a couple of shops where they live and those in the shops at the time said the street was quiet when the explosion took place. This lends some credibility to the report the explosive device was already in the mosque. Judging from the picture taken during the investigation, and also reports from the neighbors, the damage to the mosque was minimal. Certainly war materiel, like a gernade, would have killed the caretaker and done serious damage to the mosque. I go with the butler in the pantry with the chalice.

"Maybe someone wants to do to the Thais what has been done to the Iraqis. Is civil war of some sort on the way?"

I have been on Thai visa long enough that brainless gibberish is considered normal.

So Aujuba since you seem to have this one sussed. Who is invading Thailand? What facts do you have? Don't keep the rest of us in the dark, enlighten us :o

Please refrain from this type of speculation in this thread.

If you have information sources, please quote them.

Dropping grenades doesn't set them off and if it did the guy would be in pieces. Doubtfull this was military ordinance. That kind of stuff is does not leave people around to talk about mishandleing it.

If the guy was care taking the Mosque he was Muslim.

This bombing is another sad thing, just as the other bombings were. No difference.
