Lao Khao?  No, that half full bottle of amber liquid looks more like SangSom.

Anyway, nice to know that McDonalds does not allow the consumption of alcohol on their premises.  Someone needs to inform the manager of that location though.

Somebody at McDs needs to tell the managers to grow a pair of b*lls and enforce the corporate rules.

I have nothing against people having a good time, but there's a time and place for everything and McDs isn't the place to drink.

In the States, several Burger King and Taco Bell stores have obtained liquor licenses and are serving alcohol.  This shows the pettiness of the Thai "netizen" community.  Maybe Thai society would be better if Prayuth had his way and was able to shut down Facebook.

Denny's which certainly can be called a family restaurant serves beer and wine

In response, McDonald’s told their version of the story, confirming that they do not sell any type of alcohol and forbid customers from bringing alcoholic beverages onto the premises of the restaurant.

looks like they have real control over their stores (which arent that big)

Hong Thong actually....!!!

"While Sang Som and Mekhong are quite popular brown liquors they are not quite whiskeys but rather rums: The primary ingredient of these two brands is molasses which makes them spiced rum."

Subway on the corner of Suk and Soi 7/1 BKk sell beer.

In Brazil the KFC's/McD's/Burger King all sell Chopp in the shopping centres. Chopp is like a home brewed beer.

Hong Thong is really a rum (molasses and alcohol blended) and not a whiskey.

The good doers would say its a family restaurant not a good image for children to see.

Can't one get a beer in McD in some countries of the world?

And children are permitted in many a licensed premises.

If the boozing party got rowdy, and likely it would, of course not an image Roland would want to project... take your burgers to another place on Soi 6 and see how that flies.
