About how many calories are in this daily diet?

Early morning breakfast.

Cup of coffee from Espresso machine. Milk, no sugar.

One weetabix or small bowl of cornflakes with some raisins and nuts.

Mid morning:

Glass of low fat milk and cereal bar.

Lunch:

1 chicken breast, small amount of rice and veg. Bottle of Cocomax coconut water.

Dinner:

1 serving of meat - baked or fried chicken, pork loin or fish.

Thin vegetable soup.

2 squares of chocolate.

What would the approx. calorie intake be?

Thanks.

You will get the most accurate information from reading the nutrition labels on the side of your cereal, fruit juice, chocolate bar etc. packaging, so long as a Thai importer hasn't covered everything up with a sticker in Thai...

There are many websites that cover fruit, vegetables, meat cuts etc. e.g.

Impossible to know without weighing it.

Really that is the only way.. but if you eat the same everyday then in the end you know if it is working or not (losing weight)

This isn't a balanced diet, if you eat this every day.  Too much meat, not enough fruits and veggies.  Not enough whole grains, unless the rice is brown rice.  Ditch the "cereal bar" -- they usually are high in calories for the nutrition you get.  Snack instead on fresh fruit or veggies.  Maybe some hummus on whole wheat crackers if you feel the need for carbs.

Too much meat.. there has never been a proven case of meat being a problem (if lean) Protein is not a problem for healthy individuals. No need for whole grains at all (i take them but there is no need for them). Veggies sure always need for those.

Definitely less then 2,000.  One would probably lose weight but need a few more veggies or fruits.  I find guava and watermelon very good on diets they will fill you up.

If you're going to eat rice, it might as well be brown rice.  Personally, I need some whole grains to stay regular and satisfy carb cravings.  For me, a salad with some lentils or chickpeas makes for a very satisfying salad where I'm not hungry for hours.

Agreed about the rice and salads. I dont eat rice just oats. Matter of preference.

Agree with those who said this is an inadequate diet. It is lacking in both fiber and micronutrients. You need to add fruits and veggies...several servings a day. Oatmeal or some whole grains would also help but fruit & veggies are what you most need and they will not add much to the calorie count.

Suggest you ditch the cereal bar as most are full of sugar.

Hard core dieters even some nutritionists are now saying fruits or anything whole grain is poison.

Maybe some avocado or watermelon.

It seems now if one takes a very good quality multi vitamin, some sugar free physillum fiber, and sticks to lean meats and veggies it is the healthiest diet.

It has worked for me my blood numbers, cholesterol, HDL, etc. are the best they have been for quite awhile.

Carbohydrates from grains and seeds are not healthy if they make up a large percentage of the diet.

Fruits, likewise are not really healthy... they are full of sugar and most are acidic and damage your teeth over time. Sure they have vitamins and fibre, but vegetables have all that, minus the huge amounts of sugar and acidity.

The healthiest and most natural foods to eat are unprocessed meats, lots of vegetables, and only a small amount of carbohydrates..... sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc have lots of fibre and nutrients... and are a good filler, to make you feel full for a long time as stop cravings.

There are so many myths about diets and healthy foods.  The biggest one is the 'whole grains are good for you'.  There is ZERO scientific proof that whole grains have any medical benefits!  Next time listen carefully to advertisements, they will say something like 'whole grains COULD help your heat, or MAY do this and that'.

The biggest cause of weight gain in processed foods... not just fast food, but all the pre cooked froze, chilled meals, and also just eating portions that are too big.  Sugar is added to virtually all processed foods, from savoury snacks, sauces, gravy and processed meats.

Also eating out at restaurants too much is bad, because you will eat more food and bigger portions.... especially at places like Dukes lol.
