We have recently done ours and our main hospital is Klaimor.

 

Klaimor have agreed to keep a copy of or living wills in our medical files. A futher copy with our personal stuff a futher copy with a friend.

Maybe your hospital may offer a similar service?

If not I believe Klaimor will be offering the service for a nominal sum.

Just seems a sensible way to make provision.

I have a Living Will deposited in 3 hospitals, written in both Thai and English.

 

I would like to know if anyone has a DNR? There is a particular form in the UK that your doctor will sign and you can put it on your medical records, keep a copy in a prominent location at home and one folded in your wallet if you wish. Just wondering if there's anything of its equivalent in Thailand (and whether it has any legal standing)?

 

Thailand, keep a copy at home and one on you, as its not guaranteed you'll go to Klaimor. Or have a CC size emergency card made stating you have a Living Will and how to obtain a copy.

As I said, copies at Klaimor, copies at home,copies with friend. Thai/English LW

 

We have DNR on the LW.Not a complete endorsement but our Klaimor doctor is also a witness to our LW.

 

Like the idea of CC size emergency card, will be doing that.

Plus, there are times when it makes perfect sense to be resuscitated.   A DNR is appropriate only if you have been diagnosed with a life-ending medical condition or there is irreversible damage.  I know many people who have been resuscitated and go on to live normal lives.

 

I've been resuscitate myself -- twice.

You have a choice, ours is Klaimor.

 

The thread is about Living Wills not a comparison of hospitals, you go to yours,I will go to mine. And the choices on the LW are ours, you make your own.
