A German Man Dies In Pattaya.

German man found dead in room

At 4.30 pm on 29th December the police were informed by Miss Wanphen Thabthim that a foreigner died in a rented room in Soi Sunee and requested the police to come investigate.

The team of police arrived at the scene to find Miss Wanphen – the housekeeper of Sabai House Apartments waiting for the police. She then took the police up to the second floor of the building and used the spare keys to open the room.

The team entered to find the deceased, Mr. Bernd Walter Schutz, aged 62, a German national. Lying on his bed sideways, wearing adult diapers. Near the bed the police also found a bottle of whisky, and 5 bottles of coke.

The people that live in that area told the police that the deceased rented this room for about a month and he lives alone. The police were also told that Mr. Schutz was chronically sick.

The police found no signs of disturbance in the room so think that the deceased might have died because of his own sickness.

Mr. Schutz’s body was sent for autopsy to find the cause of death and the German Embassy will be contacted.

May he rest in peace. Not good to die alone. Perhaps we should have an expat help centre.
