History should have taught us a thing or two on this subject - namely, make an immediate international stand to prevent the escalation that is likely to happen if the first violation is ignored.

It's impossible to compare the above quagmires to what's going on with China.  No irony, just impossible to compare them.  Too many differences.

I suppose what you're saying is that victory and an ensuing peace would easily be achievable in China as opposed to the the places i mentioned.
