My first ever "Overstay" + PDF of TM7 form

Featured Replies

I had never had an overstay in 7 years, until the most recent departure.

I had misread the scribble and smudged stamp, and was at the border on 29, in stead of the required 28th. My lousy eyesight hadn't helped, nor did being a reasonably respectable 68 year old, smartly dressed. etc etc

They were all running around as though they had caught the only fish of the day.

It cost me 500 Baht, and an hour, whilst all and sundry had to sign, counter sign, get their relatives to come in and sign, and countersign the counter signatures., ... then have a party and go for a ride on an elephant.

All this while I was getting more and more desperate for a pee. You know how it is.

...

However, where can I download a TM7 ? .. Thanks.

At both airports in Bangkok you would not of paid for one day of overstay. At border crossings it is not waived.

Download, complete and print two sided this Fillable TM7 form.pdf .

Thanks Ubonjoe, yes it was a Padang Besar. And I've successfully downloaded the TM7 now. Cheers.

Trust except for the 500 Baht fine there will be no repercussions of any sort.

I thought the simple fine would be easier to administrate and not involve half a dozen signatures...

CNX doesnt charge the first day either.

Signatures  needed because this was an "official fine" (not a backpocket one) and had to be accounted for.

The fine is acceptable the hour lost is not.  You should have handed them a bill for your time 1000B per hour.

That attitude will serve you well in LOS - Not!

Show me an example of a Farang here earning 1000B per hour and I'll listen 555!

Without a work permit to allow you to charge for time for work you cannot do!

Good one.
