The Thai consul-general in Los Angeles plans to meet United States officials on Aug 2 (US time) to follow up a search for the missing of two Thai students whose rented car plunged from a cliff in California, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Busadee Santipitaks said on Wednesday.

Ms Busadee said Thanee Saengrat, the consul-general at the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles, will on Wednesday contact the California Highway Patrol and the police of the town where the incident occurred for information on the progress of the search.

According to information shared in Siam Town US page on Facebook, Tiwadee “Min” Sangsuriyarit, a student of the University of South Florida, and a friend, Pakapol “Golf” Chairatanasongporn, rented a car to visit Kings Canyon National Park.  The car plunged 150 metres into an abyss, about one to two hours drive to the East from Fresno on Freeway 180.

But totally uninterested in the abduction of Wuthipong Kochathamakun from a neighboring country.  Strange one that .:coffee1:

Bit like a German university (in Germany) told not to hold a seminar or else they would get a visit, they did but did not get a visit due to intervention by the German homeoffice. Hope they find the two students.

I would bet the United States officials will do their maximum.

Unlike just .... "Dead farang? Suicide, end of story"

Yes, they will! They take pride in their work!

Let's hope that, somehow, the girls were not in the car and have decided to disappear, for whatever reason. Looking pretty unlikely though.

I can't be the only one thinking about Thelma and Louise.

But not following cases of missing Thais in Laos

The Californaia highway patrol and the state of California have the finest search and rescue people in the world. They will spare nothing to find those girls. And dozens of volunteers beyond the professionals will search on their own time until they find them. If they are alive they will be airlifed by helicopter to a 1st world hospital and receive the finest treatment. And what ever their fate the the truth will be told.

If I thought prayer would help, I'd do it. And NCC is correct  California is where you want to go down.

But what if they don't have any insurance? Will they still go straight to the hospital then?
