Australian police charge two men over plane bomb, gas plots

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian police said on Friday two men have been charged with terror-related offences involving plans to place a home-made bomb on a passenger flight leaving Sydney, and, separately, to build a device to release poisonous gas.

BANGKOK: -- A Chulalongkorn University vice rector has denied that freshmen were forced to kowtow in front of the monument of King Rama V and VI in a traditional oath taking ceremony on Thursday during heavy rains.

91-year-old grandma to receive her degree at STOU

SUKOTHAI: -- And that is why grandma Kim-lun Jinakul is the oldest graduate – at the age of 91 – at the graduation ceremony to be held at the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU). Her family will escort her from Phayao province to the university on August 9 to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology.

PHUKET: -- Rescue workers yesterday successfully caught and released back into the wild a 5-metre long reticulated python weighing 80 kilograms which locals found on plot of land in Muang Mai, Thalang.

PHUKET: -- Police have confirmed that two drivers of tour boats involved in a collision at Khao Hua Yai, west of James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay on Monday (July 31) have been charged in relation to the incident.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China's Foreign Ministry on Thursday said India has been building up troops and repairing roads along its side of the border amid an increasingly tense stand-off in a remote frontier region beside the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan.

PAD to submit appeal petition Monday
