They've discovered that rice circles in Thailand are created by pissed pick drivers going off road and not finding the way out

5 3 8 inscribed with left over songkran clay.

Not quite the divineness I was expecting to see.

The trained eye? Anyone who knows what 5, 3, and 8 look likes then. Maybe if you aren't from earth or under 4 years old it would be a problem to work it out.

I've seen those numbers in Countdown a few times .. They should start broadcasting that here then they could have divine intervention everyday ( depending on what you're numbers were of course ) ..

Seems like God has a problem writing his number 8. My 5 yr old will be please he is in such esteemed company.

They called the markings "Arabic numbers" and to the trained eye they appeared to depict the symbols for five, three and eight.

So what were they to the untrained eye?

Mumbo Jumbo .! aren't they happy with just Superstition ..

538...It was a religious awakening!

Nope!  Someone was just practicing their math, but those without a calculator were mystified.

5+3=8

5=3-8

One of the things I love about living in this country, is that every day I just know I am going to hear or see some example of almost unbelievable stupidity. I really don't see that changing much either when you have folk like these rather dumb people actually believing that was supernatural. I'm sure the temple will make good money today though.

It ain't just this country bro.  A whole crap load of morons believe in magical men the sky.

Now that's what I call a clear sign!

A very clear message ......    are you ready ...   the door is open

Strange how based on the position of the numbers the god that drew this seemed to be standing roughly where a human would have been standing if he drew the numbers.  Figured a god would have just made them appear on the ground.

They do show it here. I watch the Jimmy Carr version every week.

My guess: it was written by the Thai woman who shares a double bed with a cow (not a bull!) who she says is an incarnation of her dead husband.

Next, someone should scrawl out the logos for Nike, McDonnalds, Apple Computers, and IBM.   That will really get Thais thinking about how divine the sand doodles are.
