Uk Resident Going To Hong Kong

Featured Replies

Hi

Im a uk resident and I will be going to Samui for 32 days in April. I will be flying from the uk with a return ticket and I plan to get a tourist visa from Hull as I will be there over my 'free' 30 days.

Ive now decided to go to Hong Kong for the first week of my holiday to meet a friend who works in HK.

I will arrive in Bkk, stay one night in samui then fly samui-HK return.

First question, is, do I need a visa for Hk ?

Second question, I will be leaving Thailand after two days so when I return from HK, I will be in Thailand for less than 30 days so therefor will I get the normal 'free' 30 days when re-entering Thiland and not need to get a tourist visa from Hull before I go??

thanks in advance

You dont need to get a Visa in advance. You will stay in Thailand for only 2 days holding an onward ticket so you will get 30 days to stay with stamp on entry. When you return to Thailand with a return to UK ticket you will be given another stamp which will give you 30 days to stay in Thailand.
