PATTANI: -- Most of the six pickup trucks robbed by southern militaints from a used-car dealer’s shop in Na Thawi district of Songkhla on Aug 16 stopped about one hour in Tambon Tha Rua of Pattani’s Khok Pho district which was suspected to be the location where improvised bombs were fitted onto the vehicles, according to police investigators.

Investigators had examined all the CCTV cameras installed on routes which were used by the militants to escape from Na Thawi district after the daring robbery.

They found out that three stolen vehicles passed through a self-help cooperative school in Khok Pho district at about 11.55 am on Aug 16 while the three other trucks passed through Ban Tha Rua, one of them was intercepted at a roadblock in Nong Chik district with the driver shot dead in a shootout.
