anyone have any experience with ali express

Featured Replies

i ordered a couple of things from ali express 17 days ago and still have not received them.  I know it is only 17 days so am not really that concerned yet but just asking if others found them to be good or bad? thanks

I regularly order stuff off there,so far no problems,no customs dues, goods as described,

last order came in 7 days, you should be able to track the parcel.problem is you're tempted

to buy stuff you may never use,but at the time you think you will !

regards Worgeordie

I'm around 60 for 60 on AliExpress orders.  It can take from 3 days to 2 months, usually around 2 weeks though.

One advantage of AliExpress (and Lazada) is that the vendor doesn't get their money until there's a delivery confirmation.  So they want the goodies delivered as much as you do.

I have had no problems with them in fact just got an item I ordered just over a week ago, does take up to 3 or 4 weeks at times though but it does arrive and if faulty etc they replace/refund pretty quick

Never had a problem getting the goods, but delivery times are unpredictable, had all from 6 days to 2 months.

I ordered from Lazada recently and I didn't like it. They shipped my order by LEX, whatever the heck that is. Lazada Express? I dunno. The tracking number they supplied was wrong (" tracking number was incorrect "), so despite being informed that my package would arrive on such and such date, it did not and I was unable to track it. . After a few emails back and forth I got my package (delivered by a guy on a motorcycle with his girlfriend on the back).

Anyway, slightly off topic, but has anybody else dealt with Lazada's LEX shipping? Was my experience atypical?

ordered an item last thursday, COD with LEX tracking number.

email had an estimated delivery date window between sat and tue,

and provided a link to the tracking site, which only ever resulted

in Incorrect Tracking Number.

motorcycle dude, minus babe, delivered monday morning.

lex tracking doesnt work, was given the delivery day so waited for them and they never arrived, 3 days later a motorbike guy dropped it off, they are hopeless but thats what happens a lot here, they get side tracked doing something else so put the delivery off till they are ready

The one issue I've had with AliExpress tracking numbers is that the vendor apparently has to ship within a deadline.  They're not allowed to advertise stuff that has yet to be manufactured.  That being the case, sometimes the vendor sends out a tracking number (apparently from the waybill) long before they actually send the goods to the shipper.  The China Post tracking website has a FAQ about the phenomena.

I don't recall ever tracking a package I've ordered through Lazada, though my brain may have leaked.

In over 100 orders between the 2, I've had scares and late deliveries, but never been cheated. That's not to say it won't happen on the next one.

I order from AliExpress often, items from $2 to $1,500.

The lower value "free shipping" orders can take a fair while and tracking rarely works reliably. But everything has turned up, eventually.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Ali takes around 10 days /2 weeks max to get to me. Sometimes the tracking update is a bit slow. The goods seem to languish in Lak si for a couple of days though.

internet delivery tracking hub!

I am thinking of buying a garden cultivator for circa 4000 baht including shipping from AliExpress. Does anyone know if I will need to pay customs/ import duty on top of this figure?

Many thanks.
