Getting Married....the Paperwork?

If I were in Thailand right now I could clear this up easily, But being away from Thailand at the moment I have a question to ask the forum.

I plan to get married in June, and I have a decent understanding as to what paperwork I need to complete to make this happen i.e.

1-Affirmation of freedom to marry.

2-Affirmation Translated into Thai.

3- Affirmation authenticated and translation certified.

4- Then submit the document to the registrar for the marriage certificate.

My question is this…..I return to Thailand in March for a month, and I plan to complete steps 1-3 of the process and then have everything in place for June when the ceremony takes place. This will aid in speeding up the process for me in June so that we can enjoy ourselves with our families rather than running around Bangkok for a week on a paper trail.

Is this possible? Or are there some kind of time limits from getting the documents from the Embassy and having them presented to a registrar?

Cheers for the help,

Desertcam.

All,

Managed to get an answer to my own question.......provided by siam legal group.

The paperwork and Affirmation is apparenly valid for 6 months, so you have this amount of time before presenting it before a regestrar to obtain your marriage certificate.
