Do you not remember the TAT slogan?  Amazing Thailand!

But now they have to pretend they knew nothing about it and express outrage to a scornful public. They are a laughingstock and they must know it. Even the inevitable 'computer crimes' arrests won't put this latest one to bed, I don't think - Fear is turning into contempt...

Another couple of hundred million in the bank trumps being a laughingstock in LOS.

During the hearing of the trial, had she remained in the country, many top level elites at power would have been involved or embarassed with the $candal!!

It takes quite a bit of involvement at the highest level of governance to enable a person under legal suspicion to flee the country of the sort...So everybody happy and relieved now!!!

Shows you how much she thinks of her supporters She did a runner. Now she can live with her rich brother in Dubai or England on the money he stole from Thailand Again i ask how the bloody hell did she fly out of Thailand ?Where is the immigration in this country?

A very convenient outcome. Couldn't have worked out much better for everyone, if they had all sat down and planned it together.

What makes you think they didn't?

Hmm, private plane, erroneous/mistaken/intended flight plan?

Wealthy and a politician; seem unlikely positions for caring about others before caring about yourself.

Doubt these Thais fault her for fleeing, and they probably expected this outcome.  The junta still has not changed these people's minds, so a true election would start the cycle all over again.

Yingluck did what most smart, ambitious, hard working Thais should do; leave Thailand.

Yingluck is smart? She thought Singburi province was next to the sea!

Ambitious? She never expressed any ambition in politics until Thaksin told her to be his clone.

Hard working? She sure missed all those meetings about the rice policy.

Yes,

Singburi province: Only proves she is poorly informed

Thaksins clone: She won the election.  Get over it.  She listened to good advice

Hardworking : You have never met Shinawartas.  They do work very hard. That is why they have so much influence in the country.

Puea Thai shouldn't fret. All the locals that I speak to are more than ever determined to vote for them. Not necessarily for love of Yingluk or Thaksin but rather from their mounting hatred of the military government.

If they ever get a chance to vote again it will be for the party who is least tainted by the army's approval.

Even the PAD are dissatisfied which shows how extreme they are compared to the military.

The few I have spoken to round my way would never vote PTP. However they are staunch yellows who wouldn't p!ss on any junta members if they were on fire. They are sick to death of them now.

I suspect that either the junta's days are numbered or that there will be a terrifying increase in arrests and disappearances.

She didn't win the election, Thaksin did. she was just a pretty face.

Thaksin thinks, Pheua Thai does was the slogan.

The disastrous rice policy was what won the election.

The Shinawats work hard to make themselves rich.
