so says the Bangkok Post.

odd not to see it mentioned here.

would seem to be of crucial importance to current and prospective "land owners"

the voting rights method of control may be no longer an option.

current voting rights control may have to be "sold down" to the thai directors

so one person (the foreigner usually) no longer has control.

all those paper directors in law offices can vote to sell "your" property and take the money...mmmmmmm yummy

Why would anyone think he can or could bring his profits home. Even in Pakistan we known only United States England or EU led you do it. But don't worry another Farang dreamer will buy you home from the law office that is selling yours.

They'll find a way to protect the bigger investors -- the Tescos, the Fords, Toyotas, etc..

They'll get off the hook with a slap on the knuckles and with a new requirement that will further benefit yet more hi-so thai-chin business people - by becoming executuve borad members and shareholders -- as usula for doing absolutely nothing. You just watch...

But thinking this is going to extend to some farang who bought a house in Chiang Mai or Pattaya and that they're going to cut a deal that relieves the worries of the foreigners who bought residential property through a phony nominee company is delusional.

Of course anything's possible TIT :o

Please elaborate more this sentence. I just wonder what is the relationship of Thai Laws and Pakistani Laws, or for that matter if not just law than the prevailing situations.
