Yes exactly. Home Builders Association happy to hire illegals. Meanwhile American citizens inner city youth sell drugs and dream of being basketball stars.

Lets change this. Hire only authorized residents.  Wages will go up.  Opportunity increase. Crime goes down.  Simple.

Mexico has pleanty of need for building.  Let's them work there

Well, the only way I can see that happening is for laws to be passed to harshly punish employers for hiring undocumneted immigrants. Do you think Trump and company have any plans to do that? Because I haven't seen the slightest indication that this is the case.

Great. Shall we start your experiment with Mara Lago then? Let the Mexican workers they are trying to hire stay in Mexico and just hire authorised residents yes?

As an aside I bet Trump will be keen to sign off the aid package for rebuilding Florida, assuming (hoping) that Mara Lago has been flattened. Lets hope Trump got all his staff to a safe refuge and they go back to find the eye of the hurricane got a hole in one.

The experiment has been the last 50 years of over one to two million uneducated immigrants allowed into America.

Yes it succedded on keeping inflation low low but it also is partly responsible for a huge underclass of unemployed (and perhaps unemployable).

Believe me, employers will choose illegals over US citizens for difficult low skilled work because illegals don't complain to the government about labor violations.

Trump understands this. He got elected because of this.

Nope, he got elected by milking white resentment racism.

So hiring temporary staff from Mexico will make "Wages will go up.  Opportunity increase. Crime goes down.  Simple. "

A reminder you said "Mexico has pleanty of need for building.  Let's them work there"

SO are the temporary workers "authorised residents", does employing them give jobs to "Americans"? You think Trump is hiring temps from Mexico as some 'work experience' scheme to develop workers? NOPE! He is hiring them because it is cheaper than hiring Americans. Has he said that him and Ivanka are moving their own manufacturing businesses back to the USA to give Americans employment?  Time you took a reality check.

You are making it up as you go along. Inconsistent utter drivel. How dreadfully embarrassing!

Unemployment in the Hispanic community in 2016 averaged 5.8 percent vs. 4.3 percent for whites. There are about 15 million hispanics prime age workers in the work force. So your "huge underclass of unemployed" isn't coming from there.

https://www.bls.gov/opub/ted/2017/unemployment-rate-and-employment-population-ratio-vary-by-race-and-ethnicity.htm

The big decline is in rural white workers, who, as far as I can tell, aren't immigrants.

Sorry not sure what your asking.

I am arguing hiring Americans will make urban unemployment lower and crime go down.

How have I upset you?

Not illegals. But he does exploit the H2B program.

Trump lifted the cap on H-2B worker visas. Then his businesses asked for 76 of them

This week, the Trump administration defied its “America First” rhetoric with a policy change that would make it easier for companies to hire guest workers from foreign countries...

On Monday, the Department of Homeland Security raised the cap on H-2B visas for foreign guest workers from 66,000 visas per year to 81,000.

On Thursday — just three days later — Trump’s properties told the Department of Labor that they wanted approval to hire 76 guest workers using those visas.

Oh well then open the border!!!

Nice try at deflection.

Donald Trump to Foreign Workers for Florida Club: You’re Hired

"Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla., describes itself as “one of the most highly regarded private clubs in the world,” and it is not just the very-well-to-do who want to get in.

Since 2010, nearly 300 United States residents have applied or been referred for jobs as waiters, waitresses, cooks and housekeepers there. But according to federal records, only 17 have been hired.

In all but a handful of cases, Mar-a-Lago sought to fill the jobs with hundreds of foreign guest workers from Romania and other countries."

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/26/us/politics/donald-trump-taps-foreign-work-force-for-his-florida-club.html

As I've pointed out, if Trump was really serious about stopping the employment of undocumented aliens, he could propose making it a serious criminal offense for employers to hire them. Until that happens, this is all theater directing enmity towards the workers rather than the people who hire them.

But why should he hire boys from the hood when he can hire starving Romanians?

rational business decision.

Build the wall and stop the guest workers. Detroit will blossom.

He could have stopped that program. Instead he increased the number of workers eligible and got some of them himself. And turned down American workers. And of course it's a rational business decision. As is hiring undocumented workers. As long as the demand is there for them, the supply will surely follow.  As for the wall allegedly stopping workers from crossing the border...as I've pointed out before and you repeatedly ignore, he could push laws that make hiring undocumented workers a criminal offense. That would change the cost/benefit analysis significantly.

Um well in fact congress makes the laws.

Trump has requested they pass restrictive immigration. No unskilled labor.

No movement so far

But he hasn't asked to make it a crime for employers. All the right wingers keep on and on about how it's a violation of law for undocumented immigrants to work in the USA. But none ever propose making it a crime for employers.

And Trump does have it in his authority to put a stop to the H2B visa program.  Instead he actually increased the ceiling on the number of workers allowed in. And helped himself to 76 of them. . And you know why employers like Trump love this program so much? It's not just the low wages. But the fact that workers who are in the program can't look for another job. Unlike an American citizen or green card holder. Captive workers! Donald Trump, friend of the working man and woman.

“We currently have 2,643 qualified candidates in Palm Beach County for various hospitality positions listed in the Employ Florida state jobs database.”

Relying heavily on foreign workers over American workers allows hoteliers like Trump to pay a depressed wage to employees who have no option to walk off the job for better working conditions or higher pay. These guest workers are essentially indentured servants who risk being sent back to their home country if they complain about their American job or seek a better one.

Um, okay?

So you reach out to those "inner city youth sell drugs and dream of being basketball stars" and hand out tool kits they haven't a clue how to use ... then show them how to use those tools ... then hold classes on hanging drywall,  finishing concrete, rewiring ... oh yeah!!! :partytime2:

It is a crime to hire illegal aliens.

World won't change right away but policy matters. Welfare state and unlimited immigration brought us here in 50 years. End them and my grandkids will have different problems.

It's been shocking what "unlimited immigration" has brought us to. For one thing, the homicide rate in the USA is back to where it was in the 50's. Shocking.

Tickets on sale now for the "Trump Wall Olympics".

The four prototype walls will be erected at the San Ysidro border crossing south of San Diego. There will be 200 contestants lined up behind each wall.  When the last man is over the last wall the event is over.  The wall with the last man crossing will be the winner.  All contestants will NOT  be checked for dope and will not be apprehended after crossing.  All contestants will be housed at the newly proposed Trump Tower in Tijuana!  The winning contestant, actually loser, will be immediately given a valid green card!

The fifth supplier, Builder's emporium", is currently selling their entries, 8" lengths of picket fence, for $2.99.

What a joke! :sorry:
