lampard10
...It's funny that. Two of the only shops in Thailand that do these weird and wonderful English foods are within 30 miles of each other....<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not laughing! Why don't you live down here! OK lampard10, you tell me how much you sell Branston for, and I'll tell you how much I paid at the Patong Deli for a 310 gram jar. (You'll be in for a shock ). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know....it's 220 for a small jar in foodland. Mine is 150 or 170 for the larger jar. Someone did e-mail me from UK, that they're stopping production of Branston Pickle. How do I do it so cheap? It's easy. A lot of people book their holiday car or pick-up from me in advance. For items of Branston,bovril,marmite,Tea-bags,Birds custard powder, bisto, oxo cubes bought over, I give them free days on the car hire.Everybody gains that way. Everything is back to normal now. http://www.money.telegraph.co.uk/money/mai...xfrontcity.html

Merlin
I agree with the earlier poster about coffee. I would bring my espresso machine and grinder - and then see about getting fresh beans... Thailand is a great place, but they just don't understand coffee, sorry.

I serve Blue Mountain & Mocca to my guests, but my selection pales in comparison to all the great coffee shops springing up all over the place. The 331, the 359, the 24, the 2, the 224 all these.roads have dozens of real coffee establishments along them where you can get not one or two, but around twelve types of world coffees, freshly ground and made in front of you. I think from the majority of posters here, everybody sits in doors and waits for the things to come to them instead of going out looking. One poster couldn't find good Orange juice. Too fresh for you was it, or was you put of by it being made in front of you using these round orange things.

Nordlys
I brought Cannondale MTB from Japan when I moved to Thailand I rarely ride it in Thailand but I just couldn't get rid of it. Also last year I shipped a pair of home audio speakers from Japan (50kg for pair). Cost me B20,000 for shipping and duty (or rather, under-table). It'd be worth me paying you to post some down here! I'm off to bkk tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get some at Foodland to tide me over.
Boon Mee
Just wondering what would you bring if you had a container with some spare room, i.e food & beer, that you just can't get there. Good quality aluminum windows. Quality plumbing fixtures. Us or European built washer/dryer. You can get the above in LOS but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for"... Again cheaper than at home.
duke69
DISH WASHER: in Europe about 250 Euros, in Thailand 30.000 baht = 600 Euros. But there is the problem of the warranty and for the voltage, so probably not a good idea
Jai Dee
There is an Australian firm that makes alu windows and door frames, moving lock, stock & barrel to Surin, because of manufacturing costs back home. Hey Lampshade, what's the name of the company? Do they have a website? Any contact details? One thing that you cannot get here is good quality aluminium security mesh doors. Stuff that ugly steel junk... aluminium is the way to go. And RDN... if you're in BKK today, do yourself a favour and wander through the aisles in the Villa supermarket near Sukhumvit Soi 33... lotsa goodies in there.
