Bangkok bank letter Bangkok Branch in Jomtien?
MJCM replied to mitebbots's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I asked about the same question in my local BBL Branch yesterday, and they said "you can get the letter or 3 or 6 month statements at any branch the same day, only difference is the 1 year statement which will take 7 days as it has to come from Head Quarters" -
Changing marriage extension to retirement
MJCM replied to JammG's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Good Point. They (IO) wanted, on my change from Marriage -> Retirement the ID card of my Wife and after I got the year stamp I looked into my passport and also noticed a TM30 report automatically done (Wife is the House owner) -
Or buy your own gas bottle, that is what I did ???? PS: Picture was from a previous post on another topic regarding aircons

?????? What are you on about. It’s not a Non OA, retirement extension doesn’t have a mandatory health insurance -

Changing marriage extension to retirement

I only changed because I hated the under consideration period. Documents are not that much different and it was easy enough because I had them saved in the PC and just changed the dates -
Changing marriage extension to retirement
MJCM replied to JammG's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
5555 as usual TiT. Mine needed to be present but I am in Buriram, maybe (I guess) someone will say the opposite. Again the joy of inconsistency across IO’s -
Changing marriage extension to retirement
MJCM replied to JammG's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
May I ask why are you asking? Are you not together with your wife anymore? Or are you divorced, if divorced you need to let immigration know because the reason for your extension is not valid anymore the day you divorced -

Yep when I did the change wife needed to be present. For subsequent renewals (retirement) you can do it on your own -

Exactly. It’s my understanding that your wife needs to be present because to acknowledge that she understands that you are switching. But as TiT, YMMV -
Changing marriage extension to retirement
MJCM replied to JammG's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Good answers above, but please note if your marriage extension (example) expires on May 20th and you apply on May 15th, your next extension expiry date is May 15th of next year and not the 20th reason being it is a new extension. I did it and it was painless. Done in 20 mins and got the year stamp immediately instead of being under consideration -

How clean are your solar panels?
MJCM replied to 007 RED's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Yes those ….. you have everywhere. My wife told me that they know who done it and the owner of one the properties that was affected is claiming damages from that ….. Apparently the blaze set fire to a field and it destroyed a pump for irrigation and all the pvc pipes. We were lucky that the fire department came because the fire almost reached our field were the Solar Panels and Solar pumps are, that would have caused significant damage. -

MJCM replied to 007 RED's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
We have to clean our Panels daily nowadays, reason being. Burning of the grass on the Rice Fields around us. Yes they are still doing it, one day even the local Fire Department had to come with 2 trucks because some stupid <insert swear word> started to burn his fields while there was a lot of wind, and you guessed it it went out of control and endangering at least 3 houses (including ours) -
+1 My Accountant in Europe send me a couple of weeks ago a device via EMS to be able to get access to one of my Bank accounts, the device looks like a calculator but it is worthless because it needs your ATM card and your PIN. I am still waiting for it, it already arrived in Thailand but after that it's lost. I have now requested a new device but this time it will be send via Fedex.

Have you ever thought of what the difference is between those Pc’s? One has the drivers other one hasn’t? so that is why I asked for your Phone and could have linked to the support page where you can download them, now I just linked to a page to some phonethat came up in a search. -

Exactly that is why I linked a Support page for a Samsung phone and there it states it as well, need drivers. -
Fedex are great (but expensive) but never used them for Local (within Thailand) deliveries only for stuff from abroad.

Krungsri 50k+ transfer photo requirement
MJCM replied to scubascuba3's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Just trying to help. Good Luck! -
Our preferred Delivery is Kerry, as they are the only ones (in our area) that call before arriving and 80%+ the delivery is even earlier then the Lazada tracking page. Edit: Never ever send a passport with any of the carriers.. But that said, Wifey has sent her Bluebook (Tabien Baan) to her Daughter in BKK a couple of times but not with a Delivery Service like Kerry, but with the Parcel Service of NCA (Nakornchaiair bus company) and never an issue

Have you checked your daily limit in the APP that is not set to 50k? Under More - Personal Limits - Transfer and then Change Limit -
Krungsri 50k+ transfer photo requirement
MJCM replied to scubascuba3's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
We went to Bangkok Bank and SCB yesterday, and the process was as follows - BBL Just give your Passport (ID) and they take a picture (scan?) of your face. Done in less then 5 minutes. - SCB I did not go in because I have stopped using SCB (still keep a balance to keep the account open) but Wifey went in and moments later came out and it was already done, when I asked can I do it, the Woman checked my SCB App on my Phone and said I can not. What the problem was that I did not have NDID Services (found in the SCB app under Settings, Manage NDID Services).
