  1. You see "Unable to display current owner" you now have to take ownership of the key as Administrator !!

Right Click on the Key, Click Permissions, Click Advanced, Click Owner

Click the Administrator user (in the lower group), and check "Replace Owner on sub containers and
    objects" and click apply.

    And then try again.

  2. Can you take a screen shot of the Permissions ?? It looks like some user different then Admin is owner of the Key, which means that you have to take ownership

Right Click on the Key, Click Permissions, Click Advanced, Click Owner, and show me a screen shot.

If the Owner is system, you have to click the Administrator user (in the lower group), and check "Replace Owner on sub containers and objects" and click apply.

    And then try again.

If that doesn't work, I have no clue other then that you maybe have a corrupt registry, then maybe somtanications uninstall and reinstall might work. But I hope in case that goes wrong you have a backup of you iTunes Library.

  3. Uninstall completely, reboot, run ccleaner and clean registry from within ccleaner... reboot and install itunes.

Good advice, except uninstall will not clear the wrong permissions on a Registry Key, plus Ccleaner can clean too much (if you don't know what too clean) leaving the OP with a "dead" computer.

  4. @sierra01, Did you run regedit as Administrator !!

1 In Windows Click Start, Where it says "Search Program and Files" Type in Regedit, right click and select "Run as Administrator"

And then do the procedure from step 3 again

    1. In Windows 7 on the Start menu, click All Programs, click Accessories and click Run.
    2. Type in Regedit and click OK (this takes you to the Registry Editor).
    3. Click the reveal button (arrow or + sign) next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
    4. Click the reveal button (arrow or + sign) next to SOFTWARE under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
    5. Click the reveal button (arrow or + sign) next to Classes.
    6. Click the reveal button (arrow or + sign) next to ".m4v."
      1. Select the .m4v key in the left hand list.
      2. On the File menu, click Export.
      3. In the dialogue that comes up, make sure the "Selected branch" button is selected for the Export Range.
      4. Save the file with a name and in a location that will be convenient to find, such as "m4v settings" saved to the Desktop.
    7. To save (make a backup) the original contents of the registry, so that you could go back to your original state if necessary:
    8. Find the heading OpenWithProgIds
    9. Right-click on OpenWithProgIds
    10. From the pop-up menu, click Permissions.
    11. Click the Add button. The Select Users or Groups dialogue opens.
    12. Click the Advanced button. A larger dialogue also labeled Select Users or Groups opens.
    13. Click the Find Now button.

The Find Now button should list all of the users on your system.

    14. Select Everyone in the list of users.
    15. Click OK. This closes the second Select Users or Groups dialogue.

The first Select Users or Groups dialogue now lists Everyone in the Enter

the object names to select field.

    16. Click OK in the dialogue box now on top. This closes the first Select Users or Groups dialogue.
    17. In the Permissions for Everyone section, select the Allow check box for Full Control. Click OK.

Close Regedit, restart the computer, and try the install again.

Edit: */ Added some more highlighting !!

either way considering just over a year ago these phones were selling for 25-35 k a used one is a bargain now, I'd say you get them for 8-10 k in mbk, next time I'm in Bangkok I will be trading in my iPhone 3g for the 4s.

I will never ever again buy a second hand phone (although I have to admit, I never bought a second hand iPhone) and the reason being, the second hand phone I bought lasted a couple of months then had to be fixed again and again.

After it packed up after the second time of fixing I just threw it in the garbage bin, and bought a brand spanking new one and that is still working perfectly for almost 5 years. However my wife is pushing me to buy a new one (but that's a different story ) whistling.gif

  6. You must be running Windows as Apple won't give an error about the registry, try right Click on the Setup File and Select "Run as Administrator"

Ps: The setup file needs to be run as an Administrator as it needs to access to your program files directory and certain places in the Registry (as you noticed). A "normal" user will have Read Only Access only to these places.

    Edit : */ Added Ps:

Question, is the TV password you use complex ?? I mean with @#&%^! or any other cryptic character, I can recall there was a problem that logging in with a complex password wasn't possible in the classifieds section but was possible in the Forum.

I have no idea if this has been solved yet.

That was an old bug that was solved years ago.

    Sorry George,

but I still get the same "Authentication Failed" if I use a password like

  10. Just, half hour ago a dealer in our village want sale punched honey!

Well I haven't a clue what that means, but honey is basically all sugar, in fact a spoonful of sugar is as sweet as a spoonful of granulated sugar. Do you want non sweet honey by any chance ??

Everything seems to give you a problem here in Thailand. Maybe it's written in the rules somewhere that people entering the country with a Passboard are given a specially hard time.

"punched honey" is "Austrian-English" derived from the German word "gepantscht" meaning "adulterated mix".

by the way, i don't understand that quite a number of people fall for the silly questions of this troll and waste their time.

It gives us something to do, what else would you do in a Tropical Country thumbsup.gif

  11. Answer to question 2.

It's definitively the current King !! And if you think he was around 18-25 years old that would make the bill come from anywhere in between 1945 - 1952, as the King was born in 1927.

  12. You need a program that can handle magnet links, something like utorrent.

After you installed utorrent, you need to set utorrent as the default Handler for this.

What you also can do, is copy the magnet links in FF (CTRL + C) and paste them (Ctrl +V) in the appropriate place (open magnet link or something like that) in your Torrent App

  13. MJCM....please change your Avartar...I was reading these posts and trying to remove the insect on the screen for at least 2 mins, before i realisedsmile.png

That was the first thing I did when I saw it and I thought was very appropriate for TV and being in a Hot Climate like Thailand, but at least that part of your screen is now clean thumbsup.gif
