  1. Wonder why immigration just doesn't use the "....through 18 Feb" to help reduce vagueness. Too many stamps would have to be replaced maybe.

To me using the "through" word instead of the "up to" phrase would make it much clearer regardless of whether they really want you to leave before 18 Feb or its OK on 18 Feb. But everything I've seen in posts is "up to" includes the date (i.e., 18 Feb, through 18 Feb).

Pib, but for me (a Non English Speaker) the through "word" is more confusing. For us it would be better if they use "ends on" or "last day is"

  2. If it is coming in via express courier or first-class post, expect duty up to 40% of declared value.

If you can get someone to carry it in for you airport/land border, should be no charge.

    aren't computer without duty?

What did you think you like that ?

  3. What surprises me the most, is that there was no communication from ToT on their website.

If there is a problem then the most logical thing to do is post a message in Thai on their Website and for my part in Tinglish that the Internet is not working.

But maybe that is just wishful thinking

How would you read it, if you have no internet ??

    Phone with internet 3G / Edge ?

    Or another provider ?????

    Or Aircard ??????

    Or ...

Do you mean the keyboard layout or the software ??

The software (OS) you should be able to download here. Have you tried microsoft.com/japan ?

PS: Can't help you any further as everything there is gibberish to me ;)

What good would it do to post on their website if the internet is down? Maybe an sms would be a good thing though smile.png

    Read my comment here: http://www.thaivisa....t/#entry6117706

There are still a lot of people left in the dark (who have other ways to access the internet) so a simple message on a website would help a lot but maybe that is just to easy !

  9. @Mobi

I am sure you can get one installed however it will cost you.

    (This is just an example)

In my wife's village (Up Country) she informed me that someone got TOT installed (first one in the village) and it cost them around 20.000 THB in total. The internet came from another village around 2-3 km away.

I don't know if this is feasible, but you can always ask TOT or maybe even better (after today () ) 3BB.

    Regards
