I had a major issue when I rented a condo and installed (replaced) the current air con. On moving out the owner of the Condo only wanted to pay a fraction of the Costs of the New Aircon. Fortunately my handy man had saved the aircon and removed my aircon and installed the old one and made it look like nothing ever happened. But would I recommend this to any other member NOPE. If you own it yes, replace the thing, but if you are renting (unless on a contract of 10 years+ ) No ... way Edit: Sorry not a condo but more like a Studio it was.

Great post, but unfortunately lost in the masses of ignorance. They only see that their bill increases and then start complaining, no fun complaining when their bill goes down

But there was a period where only people who used more the 500 units had to pay the full Ft surcharge, if you used less then 300 units you got the biggest discount, 301 - 350 units still a discount but a lot less etc etc so it was a sliding scale. even in the period March - April people got a discount on the Ft if used less then 300 units but I believe the discount stopped for people using more then that.

Understood, yes terrible practice, but why do you quote my post in where I ONLY try to explain how the (official) electricity price is calculated.

Do you own the appartement? If so, maybe consider changing the aircon to a modern inverter type, we did just that in our condo and the electricity bill went down 50%.

You can’t compare 10 years ago with today, but that said electricity prices have stayed very much the same but the increase is due to something call FT charge (which is basically a Fuel surcharge) early part of last year and before that it was negative. Now a days it’s 0,9343 Thb (thus almost 1 THB) added to each unit used.

Yeah I saw the edit. Get it changed but maybe that will be a new meter install but not a biggie. Name change is more difficult then just a meter change (that is what the PEA told us when we bought the property next door)

Is it actually a shop/ business? Or just a shop house unit? If so then maybe get it changed to 1125?

Yes but is for residential as you said, all bets are off for meters classified as used on business premises. I also sincerely doubt that with 2125 you will get a discount if you stay under 300 units in the month as you got (no idea about coming months) with 1115 or 1125 (classified as household) meter

Those attract higher rates then 1125 (which is normal house holds on 15/45 - 30/100 meter)

Nothing. It's up to the OP if he wants to carry around with him a Phone or not. He has a computer and can do his Tm47 online. Ps: I have both a PC and Phone but I don't do my Tm47 online but I just go to the Immigration office to do them. Instant result instead of waiting several days for a message yes or no (and please do note: my IO is 50+ KM away from us)

A simple solution (what I do) is walk every morning to your PEA Meter (good exercise as well ) and record the meter reading. Rinse and repeat every day. That is how you will find out if your going (inadvertently) into negative Territory. And also note the days that the Meter reader is coming and SHUT off Export the day before, and after he has been turn it on again

He can do that with his computer. If I had a choice I would gladly ditch my phone and only use my PC (but it's a bit heavy to carry around when going shopping)

In my email you have the option save (or save all for multiple attachments) and save as, in save it saves it in the last folder used and in save as you could save it any folder of your liking and also name it as you like (that folder location will be used then next time when you just click “save”)

That is why I said in my previous post, on saving Note the name and then do a search for it

+1 I used to live in Pattaya and moved out 7 years ago to Isarn. Was back in Pattaya last month (hospital care is there unfortunately much better there then locally (only reason why I would move back)) and was glad that I was back home (in rural Isarn)
