  1. Well peppers are not a vegetable and carrots are not usually green! Pictures aren't clear enough but there might be a sprig of broccoli in there some place. It gets left out for Scots who ask for their version, and replaced by something fried in batter!
  2. Well it dilutes the pot shall we say for those paying for street lighting, service of common areas and facilities, security that sort of thing.
  3. I have certainly come across a few.... empty houses being one source. I expect it is a bigger issues in condo buildings.
  4. Is that upgraded to a 5G SIM router, or to 5G Wireless network. The latter was probably always there.
  5. How many times I wonder.......

Yes, I have certainly done it...... You need to get a res cert, then off to the revenue dept to get a Thai tax ID, (in my case, because of where I live, that was Banglamung). At the end of the tax year, say January, get a tax paid cert from the bank(s) that took the tax, then submit them along with a completed tax form to your revenue dept, copies of bank books, passport and your left foot. Then I got a letter with the refund, but it required me to open an account at the bank they deal with, Krung Thai. (Not sure if that is still the case). Then I got the refund. With the low interest rates nowadays it probably isn't worth all the aggravation.... nor shining a tax spotlight upon yourself. Particularly with the recent moves to consider taxing foreign tax residents and retired people.
  7. Recovering just in time to get sick from the airborne pollution we get this season! I had better be wearing 2 masks!
  8. Probably Bangkok, followed by Phuket or Pattaya......
  9. Yes of course, like all those in positions of wealth or power here, they are subject to a different set of rules and laws. (If any at all).
  10. She should not be responsible in the decision as to whether her father remains in hospital. If she is complicit in some deceit in that respect your comment is very much on topic.
  11. This did not really explain it to me....... You have to at least be in it, to win it. A good ranking would be better than nothing surely.
  12. I wonder where they are all going.... not much space for them on James Bond Island I hear.....
  13. Or to be a supporter of justice, except where her father is concerned?
  14. An alarm. like long pants, confined to my past.
  15. Is it possible to award costs to the loser of a civil case? If the delinquents were hit with that, on top of an order to pay outstanding debts, it might make them think.
  16. You might expect it to balance out.... but strikes me as being extremely inflexible. There would be fewer looking for extensions if they got longer than 30 days on an Exempt entry. One might want to get the extension done prior to some trip into the boonies, a place where immigration facilities are simply rare, rather than obtuse. The Russians get a better arrangement.... it appears the older established visa exempt countries can go whistle!
  17. Oh good example of shoot the messenger. I think I saw it on a Graham Norton clip, but not on here, on Youtube probably.... although the name of his comedian guest escapes me.. never claimed my material was original. I thought amusing enough... you don't like him, I am sure he is traumatized.
  18. Here's another one.....Brits will say glasses or specs.... Americans will say eyeglasses, because they need to be told where to wear them. Brits know already.
  19. Well yes, I could afford it back then!
  20. I disagree...... If those items are high on a list of requirements Pattaya certainly qualifies, well... as would Bangkok, Phuket, and maybe CM..... but most of the other large cities are rather unattractive.
  21. There is a brand of batteries called 'Dildo' that are extra long lasting and powerful, I suggest you ask around for them.
  22. Yes, but beware the obligatory 'Gala Dinner' at many hotel venues.. they can be good, but a lot of money, and drinks expensive.
