  1. Yes we will see how this will pan out and i agree with the sentiment that Many Thais have already registered and there for the government already has all of their details. I do thi nk that there are a lot more then a million who don't bother to register. Also people who buy in shops probably do not have the ability to grow it themselves. Registering sim cards is something that i can see a use for but to register to smoke a joint? It seems a bit silly to me but i guess bureaucrazy is what they do here. Again when was the last time you had to give your id to buy alcohol? I know (a)lot of Thai people who have been growing it for many years and no matter what the law says they will just continue to do so,some is just used for cooking so no psycological effect at all.
  2. They say this has nothing to do with what is going on right now but a Dutch newspaper reported that 1275 tanks and armored vehicles as well as artillery has arrived in a Dutch harbor belonging to the US army. It is going to Poland and Lithuania to strengthen the US presence . Apparently it was already planned in 2014 after russia invaded Crimea.I am sure some one is going to cry foul over this.
  3. I did not start this topic to see if any scientific research has been done on whatever.Just basically wanted to point out the absurdity of being put in a data base just for buying a controlled herb. Like i said when was the last time your name was placed in a data base when you bought alcohol? All my life i have believed that any freedom we have comes with rules and when you break these rules there are consequences, fair enough. Buying Cannabis in Thailand is not illegal when you are of age and blah blah. So why the need for a database? Gun owner ship in a data base,ok,easy to see why. A plant that has been around probably longer then people have should be free to use. I did say use and not abuse. Some people can handle all kind of drugs, others don't. Those "few" do not have to be saved, with freedom comes responsibility. You make some good points but placing links does not do much for me. Personal fresh ideas is what i like to see in a discussion, make people think instead of hearing the same old things over and over.
  4. What kind of brickwall?Hollow or not? How heavy is the object to he hung?
  5. Thanks for posting that,i had not seen that article before, good to see more countries realize Cannabis use is not so bad after all. When you compare it to more dangerous drugs it does not appear to be really dangerous,of course there is always abuse but you can not blame that on the Cannabis it self.
  6. I agree with you that some users go on to use heavier drugs but i believe those are the same people who would go from beer to hard liquor. It is not the drug but the personality of the user. You are not the only person here that reads and if some one elses opinion causes you to block people well that just show a lot about you.
  7. Just more money for the cookie jar i think? Officer"Do you want points taken away?Soon you will have no points left sir but i can fix that for an extra xx amount"
  8. Yes,along the same line as"Don't drink beer you will move to drinking stronger stuff and become an alcoholic"! Some people just can not let" Reefer Madness" go.
  9. What is your personal opinion?
  10. I just read in a paper that can not be quoted that from basically now on all Thai citizens who buy Cannabis will have to show id card to be placed in a data base. No mention of foreigners so far . Too many losses in alcohol sales?Big powerful companies made a phone call? I know it is a controlled herb but when was the last or first time Thai people had to show id when buying alcohol? Is this the beginning of the end ?

    Drilling Water Well

Uweb, what you need to do is look around in your area and find wells around where you live. If more people have water then you should be able also. Usually a local company knows what is going on. Some places the water is just really deep and other places it is near the surface. We had our well for nearly 15 years and it provides a lot of nice clean water and it was well worth the 40 000 baht they charged me.
  12. Sending what message? No one is coming in with Covid but we have to do all we can to stop it from spreading? So all of the measures we have taken so far were all in vain? Money coming in for sure but at what cost? I hope we will not go back to a lockdown because some one opened the gate.
  13. Mai pen rai, money can straighten things out very easily. Sounds like 20 million is peanuts for him,and no wai either.
  14. Yes it does matter,a lot. I am not saying one life is more important then another but in general in the courts it does make a difference.
  15. No you did not say that,it is a very old line that keeps being repeated. Also it does not make any sense to me.
  16. I read in another topic about this that the deceased was wearing a full face helmet,is there a chance the killer did not realize he shot a foreigner?
  17. So yours is different?
  18. Last night we went to a party. We had a few drinks, followed by a few more drinks, followed by a few shots and we were pretty well "lit". That's when we decided to do what we have never done before: We took a cab home. Sure enough, there was a DUI checkpoint on the way home, and since it was a cab, they waived it past. We arrived home safely without incident. This was both a great relief and a surprise because I had never driven a cab before. I don't even know where I got it from and, now that it is parked out front, I don't know what to do with it!!
  19. I have bought a bunch of used vehicles over here,no problems what soever. Here is how to make sure what you get. Ask for the service book,if they have you can call that dealer to check if the mileage is correct. No book, no buy. That of course does depends a bit on the age of the car,a car a few years old should have an updated service book. Many cars have had some sort of accident but most are just fender benders. There are also several face book pages where a lot of foreigners are trying to sell used vehicles, easier for the language barrier but there are some bad apples every where.
