  1. Of course there is opposition! There should be and now they found out they will need more regulation. I find this normal. Still a whole lot better then fighting a losing war against drugs. People have been using drugs since the beginning of mankind and they will continue to do so. Like a lot of things in the world we now have to chose between the lesser evil instead of a better choice. Maybe the government should create a saver alternative to these dangerous drugs and sell them so the criminals need to find something else to do?
  2. something like this? Can be done using a solar panel, many sizes available.
  3. Yes.legalize all drugs. Drugs should be sold in government shops and this will take the criminal aspect out of it. Instead of kind of quoting a police officer in the US why not look at Portugal? Read up on that and get back to me. Alcohol is still the most abused drug and i can't believe you were shocked about the Thai shift to normalcy .
  4. Can't say i care about any accent or dialect. As long as i can understand people i am fine. Op,how many languages do you speak? I am not a native English speaker but i spent enough years using the English language to consider myself fluent . Having lived in different countries i can communicate in five different languages.without any difficulty and a few dialects from my home country. How do i sound?Who cares? As long as i can get my message across.
  5. Got it all apart, connected the lose wire with the panel and it lit right up! Broke some parts taking it apart but i guess we now have all spare parts for when the others decide to stop working. It had a row of screws but removing those did not help any. They used glue to make sure it can not be fixed! Reason for not working? One wire was too short so they decided to not connect that and the customer be dammed. Oh well, still a nice day and i learned something again.
  6. Yes but like Crossy said, the only way to get inside is with tools of mass distruction! I have been tinkering with it and some plastic has already broken, time for a hammer i guess.I did find a lose wire but no way to get at it or find out where it belongs.
  7. I know it is Monday but why are you confused?
  8. We have bought almost twenty solar UFO lights over the last two years or so. All bought from the same company and all working fine except for the last one. It just does not work so we phoned the company and they just told us "tough luck",no warranty whatsoever. So we need to get it fixed,it is brand new and has never worked at all. Is there any one who knows where we can take it or send it to have it fixed? I tried to have a look at it but it is not so easy to take apart.Suggestions please?
  9. Not only that, there will be not much change in the landscape over there because the army wants it to stay the way it is. I can easily understand why. By not allowing bars to open it pretty well guarantees to stay the perfect place it is. Yes Khunla,it is better for people not to go there. Nothing to see nothing to do!
  10. Same here, been here for twenty years and i am sure i found what i was looking for. Mostly on our own and some weeks i don't even leave the yard. Lots of hobbies and always things to do. Picture is of the back yard a few years ago, trees are much bigger now.
  11. Totally agree! On the other hand i am looking at it from my side which is the law abiding side and which will put the orange man in an orange suit!
  12. My favorite get away place! In the past few years a few new hotels have been build and there are enough places to buy western food but i find that very expensive over there. There are lots of places for rent, even beach front. Yes you will have to have some hobbies there because the place is mostly geared for local(Thai) residents. There are NO bars there but there are a few places to drink. After nine at night nothing to do which is great imo. You will just have to go and visit the place if you want to learn more about it,not far from Hua-hin.
  13. Not a big deal, you live your life and stuff happens. Here a woman can take everything from you ,in the west they take everything from you plus you will have to pay years of support. A guy from the US told me once,"i got divorced twice in the US,cost me over half a million dollars. Over here i married and divorced and it cost me a million baht" No matter where you live or what you do you need to take care of yourself. @ Brewster,it could also happen to you.
  14. Birthrate has been declining here long before Covid. It is the economy that makes people decide against making a lot of babies.
  15. Covid was 3 years ago,how does that effect the birth rate in Thailand?
  16. Mark Rutte,not a short guy.
  17. I did not see it but did i hear a mating call?
  18. Breakfast of champions this morning!
  19. I vaguely remember a bar or two in Pattaya, classroom one and two?
  20. Yes maybe it is staged, the statement said they found only 8 bodies out of ten people on the plane.Looks to me a wing came off. More things to happen shortly for sure, the plane did belong to Prigozhin. I still think putin is behind it and if so it goes to show you can never have an issue with putin. You will die, until one day what goes around comes around.either way i don't really care, anything to stop this war.
  21. If the Wagner group does go to moscow to ask a few questions does that mean putin has to call troops back from the Ukraine to protect him ? maybe he is long gone hiding somewhere.
  22. Big question here, did Putin order the plane to be shot down? I would not be surprised at all and if so how is the Wagner group going to respond?
  23. I would not waste my time on him,he is just a trolling member who will soon get fed up with it and move on. spend your time and resources on real people.
  24. Will he be actually be in a five star jail? Is the trade off worth it? Lets see how the election turns out,it could be a disaster for PT.
