Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
jvs replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
And even worse for Putin, they have to burn the gas now because it is a by product of producing oil and they have no way to store it. Actually a terrible waste but so be it. So he is burning money in able to make money,i am sure his soldiers would like some gas in the trenches so they can warm them selves. Well, let them feel a different kind of heat i say. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital

Why do you think the Russians invaded the Ukraine? The Ukraine was not attacking Donbas,it was part of the Ukraine. Maybe you should do some reading and not just accept the Russian propaganda. There are always two sides to a story and then there is what really happened. -

Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital

That is very honest of you, thanks. Luckily the people in the Ukraine would rather die then give up their land. They would never understand your statement and frame of mind,i can not either. That is why NATO is important, together countries can make a fist against people like Putin. In you case the neighborhood bully would not stop at taking a small part of your garden,he would demand more until someone would stop him. He would also try and take other gardens close to him but a strong united neighborhood unity would stop him . -

I think you are wrong about this, giving in to Putin would have only made him stronger in his believe Russia is invincible and it would even encourage him more to try to "reestablish the old USSR" like he said he wanted to do. I strongly believe that now he realizes he has made a very big mistake but being the man he is he will never admit that because it will show weakness and that in itself would be very dangerous to him. It is also very clear to him that even the thought of entering any NATO members country will mean the end of him and Russia as we know it. You think support to the Ukraine will dwindle,i think it will not. The USA is getting rid of an age old enemy for a relatively cheap price, there is a lot more to that but that is for another discussion. No loss of life for them and no real danger, the threat of nuclear war has always been there. Europe is also realizing that the Ukraine is in fact fighting their battle. Russia is more and more isolating itself and slowly their economy is collapsing. You are saying it is not your war,it is a war against pure evil and the Ukraine is fighting for all the right reasons. Honest question,if you had a neighbor who wanted a piece of your garden for whatever made up reason, would you give it to him to keep the peace?Roll over and show your weakness in the hope he would stop? The world does not work that way. Do you see what is going on? -

Christine Lambrecht ,German minister of Defense has stepped down. She blundered a few times and was not really up to date with all of the facts. hope fully they can find some one who keeps supporting the Ukraine and send more real help. -

Hope fully soon a few countries will be sending Leopard 2 tanks. It could make a difference really fast. Germany is no longer against the idea of sending and the same goes for the Netherlands,Poland and Finland. if i am correct. The countries just need permission to send them from the country of origin, which is Germany. -

Sundays going north is very quiet usually but only in the morning. In the afternoon many weekend people head back and traffic is crazy. We usually go in the morning and return from Bangkok around 3pm. Cha-am Bangkok and back.

Creativity often comes out of necessity. If we rely on others too much we become clones of their habits and thinking. Some education will help people and some education will keep people down. When you are on your own and no one can help you that is when it starts. You mention guitar playing,i just got my first guitar and all i learned so far is a few cords but i do not really know what to do with it. So i just play with the strings and then i hear some notes that remind me of a song i know. I keep plucking away and come up with new melodies. I am too old to ever learn to play the guitar really well but i don't care. I should have started years ago but i was not able to and not in the right frame of mind.
