The friendship highway has at least 4 lanes, i.e. 2 lanes in each direction all the way to Nong Khai. How could there be a head on collision, unless the unthinkable happened and the bus careered all the way over to the opposing direction?! Now that's mind boggling!
With Thai drivers the unthinkable happens far too often, along with the amazing, and "yes i can make it"

A wash, wax then a hand job. You'd come out feeling quite the porn star.

I did wonder why the police were working so hard today. In 20km of Bangkok I passed at least 5 policemen trying to constructively motivate (that's what I call it) traffic and 2 roadblocks where they were ensuring people had the right paper-work in their wallets.
I wish our new leaders much luck with this task. I fear they might want to also try to herd cats and roll jelly uphill.
By the right paperwork, do you perchance mean pictures of HM the King? In red, pink and bronze? I believe the green and blue ones are no longer valid for the paperwork checks.

Well, print will be around for decades, as will Kodak film and telephone booths. Just that they won't be available at every corner shop anymore.

Not a chance of them even trying it, the Shinawatra clan may be many things but they aren't completely thick
Thaksin can hardly be described as clever, tricky or wily is more apt.
His sister seems simple, in a kind of fluffy bunny-rabbit way.
I am given to understand that the younger generation are quite thick, though!

Wonder what "the man in the sand" thinks about this step?
I would say the man in the sand and his venal spawn is political history in Thailand.
Thank God!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpp!!!!
Thailand really is becoming a laughing stock on a par with North korea..................
Well, I suppose it's progress, in the sense that at least its in the open what has been happening for decades, and now "SOME" cases are being prosecuted.

That road is one of the most dangerous in Thailand.
3 lanes alternate in priority with nothing but 2 yellow lines to designate who has priority.
Given the extreme intelligence that comes with Thainess, it should be obvious why accidents happen so often to peepen in the Kingdom
They are uniquely endowed with the ability to see around blind corners, accelerate downhin faster than uphin, and they have tattoos that plotect them from harm.

But you need "Kwahm ben Khon Thai" to not figure that out.

At 3 million Baht a cop that's 9 million Baht, plus a ticket to Singapore, based on case law. That is, if the driver was drunk, and possibly coked up.
Otherwise it should be a lot cheaper, if there is justice in Thailand.

Malaysia should build its own plane brand to rival Boeing and Airbus, a bit like the Proton car, which we all know to be an advanced piece of engineering on a par with Mercedes Benz.
I am sure that just like the Proton, it will be an incredible success, and if the price is right, every airline in Malaysia, Haiti, North Korea and Myanmar will order hundreds.
It should be called the Bhumibomber maybe....... or the 3030 Vision.

I quite enjoy the prayer call when in the islamic countries. I take it as a priviledge to be allowed to stretch, fart and then sleep for another hour or so.

I really feel terribly sorry for Thais.
Is it karma?
One would think they deserve better than this, but maybe they did something very wrong in past lives.
It could only be worse to be born North Korean.....

You should have asked for 2 quickies in return, one on the spot. At least you would only have lost 1000...

Oh my god. What an unholy mess that is. She will never come back to Thailand now.
These laws have to be changed.
I might "like" this, but theoretically that could make me liable for 15 years plus offences under the computer crimes laws. Might the justice system seem a bit wonky to outsiders? I can't comment on that, as that might be an offense too!
Long live the present system, no change required, perfect laws, in a perfect country. Chaiyo!
As for my well educated half-Thai kids, they will be outta here if I have anything to do with it!
I guess I'm not the only one not allowed to say anything....

"Chalerm said he had instructed police to look into whether Narong's warm welcome for Suthep at his ministry amounted to offering refuge to someone who's fleeing from justice".... spoken by a man who knows more than most people about fleeing from justice.
The front row look as happy as Kim Jong-un's generals.

The person to ask is Thaksin Shinawat.
He and his cronies in government are (very) long on rice, unfortunately with taxpayers money, and the shirts on farmers backs.
I bet his private wealth speculates in short rice positions.

I am lucky to work in a job that is recession proof.

Follow the money trail, and I think you will arrive at some pretty big companies with good connections in Thailand ( which means that they can do what they want) and connections in the international mining scene where scandals like this can sink a business.
They need a Robert Amsterdam, but he wont work for poor people!!!!!!!!!!!
