Same. The "RR" drivers are decent, they're not the cowboys that some posters are making them out to be. At least they were until this incident. Hopefully it's a one-off and doesn't happen to me when I head to Patts in a few weeks 😱

@Seppius mentioned earlier that they're running the service every 10 minutes in each direction, I guess it must be really busy right now. Perhaps they're having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get drivers to meet the demand? I'll be needing to visit Pattaya in a few weeks, maybe I'll take the train instead 😅

I'm a little bit concerned because it involved one of the Bangkok-Paataya buses. I've done that trip quite a few times and the drivers have always been very competent, at least they seemed that way. no recklessness like the peanut gallery assume of all Thai bus drivers. I guess I'll be wearing my seatbelt later this month when I head to Patts 😂

but the first one I've seen in a while involving the Pattaya-Bangkok bus. one expects better from the drivers employed by that company.

Well nobody is going to knock on your door and give you regular updates so it behooves you to seek out that information yourself so you don't find yourself in a pickle. This website is the primary source of information for expats and has a wealth of information. More fool you if you ignore it.

There have been quite a few threads on the subject of denied or near-denied entry in recent months, enough to get the sense that certain immigration officers are reverting to their pre-Covid "war on visa runners". The information's all there, all you have to do is fire up the forum and read it.
