It'd be great if an insider could explain exactly how the online reporting system works and how it interacts with the TM30 address database. I'm really interested in how it determines that the address your condo office submitted via online TM30 is your "permanent address". Is it defined by property type and null check-out date, or some other protocol?' I've done five online reports in the last year or so and at least two of them were after hotel stays where they confirmed a TM30 was done. All were accepted by CW bar one: I didn't know about the pre-fill option and oniited the "Serviced Residence" part of my condo's name. It was subsequently accepted after I resubmitted with the condo's full name. Also curious as to whether or not the process is semi-automated as some have suggested in other posts, or if it's all done by a human.

I had no problem scanning MEA codes from BBL app until last week when it failed and I had to do it manually via the app. The app also refused to recognise a PromptPay code from a local merchant yesterday. That's the 2nd time I've had that happen. Starting to get a little annoyed with BBL, time for a jai yen yen refresher course. Or change banks ????

Thailand is not same same Australia cobber, and hopefully never will be. It's great that they limit the type of work foreigners can do and set the bar high viz. the amount of capital and no. of employees that are required. If they didn't then it would lose its character and become another multicultural mess like down under.

Thailand is great but it's not the be-all and end-all. Go and spend some time in the 'Nam or the Bodja. Heck, why not try Indonesia, put some hairs on your chest.

are you fair dinkum? TM47 is for people who stay here longer than 90 days. you can't stay here longer than 90 days on visa exempt or tourist visa.
