The one that have been raided are frequented mostly by Thais and they would (or should) be used to the idea of the possibility of being drug-tested because this sort of thing has been happening in those types of clubs for donkey's years. A copy will suffice. You can get miniature laminated copies made up at a photo shop. Passport photo page on one side, permission to stay stamp on the other. Or you could keep a copy on your phone. Worked for me the other night when I got stopped at an APEC checkpoint at the end of my soi.

I did it when I was younger. It was fun at the time but I'm not sure how I'd have handled it if I'd gotten caught up in a raid. I was a poor, scruffy bagpacker and I wouldn't have had the readies to be able to wriggle out of it ????
