  1. I am willing to bet my motorbike that all of you who have said "moaners will always moan" "live life" "will complain where ever they are", that if I go through your posts I will find multiple incidents of moans/complaints. Its a forum for gods sake, its for opinions.
  2. @WhaleUK has just updated their requirements via UK Gov website, it now says "vaccine certificate" not vaccine "passport" or WHO complaint vaccination card/book. Thailand Added to this list of countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination 4am Monday 11 October. If you arrived in England before then, you must follow the rules for people who are not fully vaccinated. If you arrive after that, you can use a vaccine certificate to prove your vaccination status.
  3. In defence of the older posters (of which I am one). They experienced a different Thailand, a more 3rd world, on the edge, ruralistic, culturally dependent, cheaper, base, developing Thailand than exists today. They simply miss those days and times. The times when Thailand was a thrilling foreign and cultural experience to the young foreigner, not the standard internationalised concrete culturally devoid capitalistic template it offers today like most other places.
  4. Visitors no problem no restrictions. Delivery people have to leave food, parcels, etc at reception floor.
  5. Theres probably a hundred things daily you come into contact with daily that have not been tested for such either. For some of us (me) its a risk worth taking (age and medical history related) but I see what you are saying and I respect your choice.
  6. Presumably this means they can therefore track anyone , anywhere with the app on their phone?
  7. I have no issues with non vaxed being allowed entry if they have insurance to cover their potential medical costs.
  8. They keep saying to protect affordability for Thais, so why is it in my building there only about 10 foreigners and everyone else is Thai and has a raft of flash cars. I am the one who needs price protection.
  9. If we ever thought travel awards were scummy we now know 100%. In a world that was locked down how did they figure this?
  10. I had better packs my bags and leave then. What I don't get is who are these articles/news release supposed to impress/be for? Is it Thais? Is it foreign tourists? Who is it?
  11. AZ manufactured in Thailand is now in assessment phase by WHO, as a sub-set of Japan AZ (already approved). Next WHO update is at the end of the month and I would expect AZ Thai to be included in the WHO approved list by then.
  12. Thats very interesting and I was not aware of that. If you go through the url mentioned (travel doc) it gives 14 different groups who are allowed entry plus the entry stipulations for the sandbox group not just "currently business reasons" as you stated.
  13. So how did all of us who have returned in the past 14 months get here? On my flight we must have 90% retirees not business people.
  14. I am not so sure this yellow book will be required by the UK, let's see what transpires in the coming weeks.
  15. One for the press whilst many more carry on with corrupt sanction? Similar to the bar situation.
  16. Thats great news thanks. Could we enquire if the Thai vaccination certificate we are given after the second dose (two x AZ) is an acceptable proof of vaccination at UK border control or are we required to get the "yellow" WHO style vaccinated booklet? This seems to be a major question for everyone now as the Thai vaccine certificate issued after the second dose seems to meet all the requirements set by the Min of Transport. Many thanks for keeping us informed - its appreciated.
  17. I am wondering about this as well, the paper certificate we were given meets all the requirements and therefore should, theoretically, be accepted. Have you seen the USA one it's even easier to forge, and thats accepted.
  18. Thats a relief. Things getting back to some kind of normal for some of us.
  19. Its not rocket science, just drop all in country restrictions. Nothing else needs to be done for domestic tourism.
