I'm very surprised. You complaint so much about Thailand (Thailand not changed over weekend). And now you come back and the only reason some changed in your relationship! To be honest, this sounds very strange (same as your last thread, where you stated that will be your last comment, but still saw many more comments in that thread). So for me I feel you talk a lot without real actions behind!

Actually, if you bought the condo, and it will be destroyed (for whatever reason) and they sell the land, you receive money according to your condo size. So you are also part owner of the land.

To qualify for foreign owership is, that the quota is not full yet (49%). and that the property is build within the Thai condominium act. If it was build under the condo act, then every foreigner can buy a room in there as long the quota of 49% is not reached!

I guess he mean, when you are married to a Thai you can skip the permanent resident and go direct to a Thai passport (more or less same requirements). IF you are not married the requirements for becoming a Thai passport (citizen) is more difficult than "only" becoming a permanent resident! Anyway without working (paying taxes) both states are almost impossible.

But only in some small offices. if you want to do this in Bangkok (CW), then you spend only for this small "hello i'm back" half a day. (about 2 hours wait for the queue and drive to and back.... In Bangkok it's always recommended use some non physical method. my best guess would be after comming from outside... do the first report by mail (for BKK). take some time, but at least this should work. and then the ones after you can do again online.

I'm very sorry for you, that you have no knowledge, but Thai men are in fact very tempered men, they like to smile till one point the they can't smile anymore and then explode. Often this happens in the family as you told (you seems to find it OK that thai men bash their wifes?).. as this sound from you post that bashing a family member is less aggresive than bash a stranger.. Both are bad habits. But stay in your bubble with your "thai male friends"!

I think it would often help a lot already, if they would take parked cars next to the red/white serious. I see a lot of cars parking everywhere. and stop for a short period many times in second row. Mean from the 3 lanes 1 lane is avalable to drive. If they would go against this parking, then many streets would be much easier to drive. And this new rule... will probably not change much, as nobody there to take care of the rules.

You not have to upload the papers. But if you don't upload, then it could be the Revenue office will come back with the question to support your claims. I always upload the documents, and I receive normaly the refund in about 5-6 days in my account. Only the first time I not uploaded them, and I had a note in the system, to show evidence. Mean It took longer to receive the refund. The paper not cost me anything, except run to the banks to receive the papers. Some banks you can receive the documents right away with a waiting time of a 10-15 minutes. Other banks they need like 5-6 days for producing the papers. But even this is not a big Issue. I mostly go to the banks in begining of january to receive my documents, which I then can claim back the tax.

But it's the Thai way, that if you do a fast appology (wai) then already a big part of your problem is solved. The swiss gone the opposite direction and instead of a sorry to the doctor in the begining, he threatend the girls, that he will take care that they have to go prison (as he thought he had the better connections), and he never will say sorry to them. He expect they had to sorry to him only. Is this the right way with the wai and many problems are forgiven? No, but it's the Thai way! Something in Thai is better than in my country, other things are worse than in my country. At the end you have to check if Thailand is still the right country after you checked all the facts.

The big difference is, the Thai would say sorry. The swiss man told he never will sorry to this woman! This is (I guess) what the woman mad angry. and especially her father, which was better connected than this swiss. What would happen if this woman not had that father. The swiss man would have won. As you see in the begining the police was even helping the swiss with their statement. I read somewhere the police showed up in only 15 minutes which is very fast. So why so fast. But now because father of this girl (Doctor) had more influence than the swiss guy.. his connections disapeared. I read they even want find out which police are connected to the swiss guy and they demselfe probably will be punished as well. I think the IDC which he stays now (Visa-extension revoked) and wait for his trial is too much. But as someone before wrote this was no pushed up by media (Media do that things for becoming more readers). I am a Swiss too and not feel happy about my countrymen (3 person in the last few week) who killed a Thai, Kicked a Thai and just hit a Thai in a shopping mall. Seems the swiss want win in top of bad news at the moment 😞

Yes you can't see a kick, but from the voice and the reaction I would argue it was a kick. Anyway, even when the stairs would be correct build, this is not trespassing as they only sit on the border of his rented land. I can understand, that it can be frustrating, when you always have people siting on your rented land. but when you have a plot near the beach, I think this is almost unavoidable.

I not have a "Blue" Thai ID, I only have the pink ID and Tambien Baan. But I used them to open the account. Meaning my name is written in Thai script at the account.

I only can guess, that this have something to do with Thai market regulations.

Many use the wording BBQ buffet for an all you can eat buffet! Actually after you wrote I agree with your comment, but in Thailand it's not always used that way.

OK, I see what you mean and understand. I would never go eat buffet for X-mas, birthday, Valentines or any other special day. And I think we have to make a difference between a BBQ/Shabu buffet or a bruch/lunch/dinner buffet. or at least between a buffet where you go take your food yourself and the ones the food you order is brought to you. I mostly not go to buffets where you have to take the food yourself, because too many people not know how to behave.

Even when you had arround 400'000 Baht interest, which would be about 60'000 tax deduction, it's still worth to claim it back! With an income of 400'000 Baht from Interest the income tax would be about 4'500 baht. which would lead to still gain more than 55'000 Baht! Sorry, I read it wrong first, I was thinking you answer was to me 🙂 Of course I always would fill a tax form, as it's mostly better with income from interest.
