  1. There are many very good buffets available in Bangkok. But it depends you want seafood or international, and of course also the price range. Goji at the Marriott Marguis they have a really huge selection of many different styles of food, but it's also more expensive. At the end it depends on the price and what dishes you see as a must have...
  2. At check-in she has to show her British passport to prove she is allowed to enter the UK (and the passport she used to book the flight with). At Immigration, she has to show her Thai passport or use the electric gate (for Thais). Same when flying back from UK to Thailand. She has to show her Thai passport and the Passport which used to book the flight. There is never a problem as long she always use the correct passport for the correct place.
  3. the 6 moths is not valid if you fly direct home to your passport country!
  4. Don't forget last week Thursday was an holiday as well (Friday after, many took extra day off). As someone else already stated, this time many already on long holiday... so everything could be slower than normal.
  5. Even if they check the CCTV, you only will see the naive Thai person on the CCTV who opened the bank account for the scammer. The scammer would probably never been seen on the footage. And even you could see his face, he is probably already outside Thailand again. He only needs a few naive Thais to open Bank accounts for him and that's all. After that when he receives the money, he will transfer the money to his personal account or other places to hide where the money is going at the end.
  6. You can get an extension right away?.. this is not only possible 10 or 14 days before actual permit run out?
  7. I think if your immigration is easy to reach for you, then single re-entry is better when you leave country less than 4 times per year. I buy most multi re-entry, because I don't want to go to Immigration of Chaeng Wattana (Bangkok) as you are always losing almost half a day with traffic and everything. So even I leave country only 2 times per year, it's worth to buy at extension right away the multi re-entry for me. When doing extension, I know about how many times I want to leave (more or less). Could of course be more (or in case of year 2020 much less).

    internet

Use the existing Router, and configure it "Bridge mode" or if not possible use the DMZ feature, which should be available on most routers to send all Incoming traffic to your "better" router, to handle everything there.
  9. You can put your 800'000 in a time deposit, which will give about 1.5% interest at the moment. It's still not a very high interest, but at least not that bad, as in a saving account. Check with your Immigration office which they accept. But most should accept Time deposit accounts (As you can take out your money at any time, maybe with loss of interest).
  10. I have an account with another K-Bank branch than my main branch. This account is on 0 since more than 3 years, but still accessible in my K-Bank app. Maybe this frozen or closed account only counts if you not have open active accounts in same bank?
  11. What I see, he always go to the wording low carb high fat. In Keto or low carb I never saw that you are allowed to eat hamburgers (Burger King, McDonalds) which he used as example.. or his fatty box. So I guess this video is little bit different to what I understand in low carb food! My food (low carb) is never fatty.. and always have salad or vegetables.
  12. In Bangkok, I never had to show a new CR22. I still use the same copy from the first one. But I asked about to change to retirement next year, and the officer told me, that for this they need a new CR22, and wife also have to come for the first time when changing married to retirement extension. The main reason for me to change to retirement will be, that I don't have this 30 day under consideration period. One more point could be, that in case of divorce or death of your wife, your extension is still valid with retirement. with a marriage extension, I think you have to think about this visa process very fast. Especially in case of death, I can think of many other things to think about than to go to immigration to renew my extension.
  13. I had exactly the same problem. As the Laptop was still under warranty, Microsoft shipped a new one to my Thai address. I still have the old one with the broken battery. Everything was free of charge. I needed a few phone calls and some email conversation with Microsoft, including pictures of the damaged laptop. But I was very surprised how easy and smooth everything went on.
  14. I am customer of Pacific Prime, but before they had the bangkok office. But I guess most person here us AA broker when I read the insurance thread of the last few years.
  15. I would not take the Thailand one of April. Better use the International. About pacific cross (increase of premiums after claim) was the main reason I not chosen that one. As they can increase premiums 20% after a bigger claim. And I not found information, if this increase can happen only once or multiple times.
  16. If you go before your birthday, then you will lose 1 year of your new driver license. But you can renew your license of course before. Another idea. You do your license 1 day after your birthday, and not use the car till you have the new license! If you need the car, then do it before your birthday!
  17. As you told it's a Thai insurer. I see some policy, they have a maximum amount for some diseases per lifetime. As long we do not know the policy we only can assume.
  18. I scan my paper documents from the bank and upload them as PDFs at the end. I have now done online tax returns for 4 years.
  19. You don't need to travel to the tax office. It can be filled out online completely. The only downside it's in Thai, and the first time you need probably some help (Even some tax office will help). But when you have done it one time, the next year you can use your old version to check what you have to click. it's done in about 10 minutes online. if you fluent in reading Thai even much faster.
  20. This will not work. Maybe even backfire. I would first try to understand what exactly happened! why Brother-in-law start the fire in the first place?
  21. From the App K-Bank I like most. Krungthai is good when you have to pay tickets (Fines) or when you receive tax-returns. Bangkok bank I personally not like (not mean a bad bank). I have Omsin (GSB), L&H and Citibank (which will soon UOB) which are OK. But their app are not that good as the other 2. At the end I think it most depends on the branch you use and what person you become when you are at the bank branch. I mostly use branches in shopping centers, as this are open on weekends as well.
  22. Yes, your Thai need to have additional another passport, or have to be included in your cigna policy, then It would work.
  23. If you give 500 baht per found person, I think many Thais would be happy to do the Job. The first few months, this would be a nice earner. Foreigners couldn't do the Job... Thai reserved earner...
  24. Actually, I have a friend, who really want to come to Thailand and not like tourist areas or big cities... He is looking into some less populated areas. Not everybody is the same of what they desire. For me, it would be a nightmare to be in a location like that for more than a few days. But luckily different people have different needs. Strange, back in my home country I lived in a rural area, and never wanted to live in a bigger city. But here it's the opposite!
  25. As long you can do it online, who cares if you lose the 15 days. You can do it again online. it takes less than 5 minutes to do the report online. Better to do 1 more online, than have to go 1 time to CW in person!
