I have just been robbed and now want to make sure that I am not being scammed. lol And I aint no asian newbie, though it may look like it. lol

Girl I have known for couple of months, says her mother needs an operation. I had to infer from her english, but it seems a cyst needs removing from her mother's womb. Something along those lines at least.

She said that the operation is not free like in england and that she needs 10,000bht. Well although I lost a lot more than that and I am loathed to be tricked out of more, I do tend to believe her story and if true I want to help.

Can anyone say whether this is the likely cost of this type of procedure at what I am sure would be a cheap hospital in the provinces.

I may be a frequent visitor to the Philippines so was wondering if I can open a bank account there in order to avoid carrying around cash.

If I have a local bank with ATM card can I take money out for free? Or anyway to avoid this?

I ended up being helped by a great guy in Bangkok that is a friend of a friend.

I just want to say that I surprised myself with both the positive and negative way I handled this situation, and I hope it never happens to anybody else.

Oh, from soi bukao to the bus terminal how much should i pay on the songtaew? I know it will be hard to get a local price as they seem so empty and end up being a taxi fare.

Never been to Pattaya before, hoping for a hotel that is easy to get to from where ever the van stops in Pattaya and easy for the girl to get to after her work finishes.

I am in Uk, went to my gp with a separate issue. Told gp about a pimple thing on my forehead that never heals. Had it for about 6 months i think.

She says its a red flag for skin cancer and should be removed, and tested i presume. She says she will book me an appointment at a specialist.

That was 10 days ago, and par for the course the NHS seems to make you wait forever.

I check and am told to wait.

Who know how long!

Want to get back to thailand to tell the truth.

Was wondering if thai hospitals are experienced with the white mans' skin cancers.

And the cost to have it removed and checked out.

Will then make a decision to stay here or go back to BK.
