  1. Thanks for the answer. A 20k fine for which extension do you mean?
  2. Thanks for the answer. a 20k fine for which extension?
  3. Thanks that thread is quite similar although a slightly different scenario. For me I want to apply for and re-enter on a DTV after the non-b has fully expired. Still helpful. Thank you
  4. So basically if your non-b (+re-rentry permit) expires while out of the country it's done with and you can re-enter on DTV with no problem?
  5. Information and truth is so easy to find these days with the internet. So when your whole business is based on not news but smearing, dividing and twisting the truth it really stands out. Unlike perhaps even 10-15 years ago people are much more aware of this. Go look at nearly any mainstream news video on youtube that allows comments and it is very clear in the comments that the majority of people have had enough of the lies. Doing family research and reading newspapers from the 50s, 60s, 70s I did notice a stark difference in that it is actual news reports wuthout and right left bs. All these cnns, bbcs, abcs etc will be about as popular as a cassette tape in a decade or two.
  6. What happens in the scenario that you are out of the country and your non-b (with multi-re-entry permit) expires / finishes as opposed to having it cancelled before leaving. Done and dusted? Any complications for future applications or entries?
  7. Guys what is the approval time for the DTV in Vientiane? In other words how many days should I book a hotel there? I think it was mentioned once or twice in the thread but the thread is 50 pages long now. Any other tips for this Vientiane trip from people that did it are appreciated. I used to do Savannakhet non-o but never done this one. I will be sure to post my experience here in a few weeks. Thanks.
  8. ah yeh i just had similar problems. All of a sudden not accepting a card that I always use. Chatting with support = "give us the first 6 digits and last 4 digits of the card in question". Then: "to summarize you are having an issue with payment, we suggest you use another payment method." Debit card is perfectly fine. I use it all the time. I'm breaking up with Lazada today. Shopee is better anyway
  9. You don't need to be if you don't care about any of the tax stuff. I was spending 10000b + per week for my job.
  10. "faces an uncertain future" seems to be based on no evidence but speculation and seems misleading. From memory I beleive the extensions was touched on and confirmed in the podcast with the minister of foriegn affairs a couple of months ago. As for the tax. Most people hate tax but I imagine certain "residents of nowhere" such as people that work at sea with complex tax situations will be happy to pay some tax and have piece of mind that one day if they return to their home country they are not going to be penalised.
  11. Epic thanks. Close this if you want. I don't care.
  12. I found 2 brief comments in other threads saying it is not required for Non-B which I already know. They were not mentioning the limited timeframe specifically. I wonder though if I will get any grief (from immigration in particular) entering with less than 3 weeks left? Yes I have a re-entry permit, work permit etc.
  13. Whats the racket with the visa forms at Vientiane? I have to go in a few weeks for dtv and i remember something about a scam to do with their forms involving the stall out the front?? Can you use a form downloaded from their website?
  14. I'm getting pretty tired of them turning up with a different rego number to what is in the app. "Sorry mister, other car accident"
  15. I signed up couple of years ago. Got the cards sent to my dads house as it (and Wise and XE) were unavailable in Thailand using a Thai address. I don't agree with faking an address just to be accepted into the service but whatever. They sent out cards. I sent a simple query. Received no response so lost all interest. Cards timed out. I threw them in the bin. Issues: Unavailable in Thailand Unable to contact service
  16. At least let us get out of the airport before you start bashing us please.
  17. Apparently they get a 20k fine from the euro union for each refugee they don't take or something. No wonder the continent gets more unstable every year.
  18. It's one of the most intrusive apps. Used to randomly open on my phone any chance it had. Apps are getting more and more bold with their 'security" (data mining) measures. I guess shoppee will be next
  19. Get a hair or bug in your food where im from and it is normally sent back and redone or taken off the bill or something. Here I can't be bothered. I take the loss, pay and don't return. If I think they will take the critiscism and use it to better themselves I will tell them whats wrong. But if it's some grampa calling pasta with tomato, cauliflower and peices of plastic in it "carbonara" then best not to waste your breath. Also, with the amount of ants and bugs and stuff over here if I complained everytime I saw one I would waste more time complaining than I care to.
  20. You know why? It's a bit weird. Maybe something to do with tax?
  21. do gold shops have some weird thing of not actually issuing receipts? When i bought wedding rings in pattaya. Asked for receipt they said "can not" for some reason which wasn't entirely clear. Instead they wrote the purchase on the back of their business card. Wife was standing next to me and didn't seem fazed. Another time buying chain from hua seng heng online - asked if they prvide receipt. Answer was no. Then when i go to the silom branch to pick it up they provided what seemed to be a receipt anyway. Another time selling and buying a new chain clasp for wife - fro memory they wrote out what seemed to be a receipt but a crappy one.
