  1. Whats with the random toilet paper on the wall. For mopping up your tears after a good bashing?
  2. Under the arm not accurate enough. Stick it in there mate. You know what needs to be done.
  3. In the early days of learning getting laughed at a lot. Kinds of stuck with me. Now I can't be bothered to speak it unless really need to. To get passed that crap beginners stage and still have motivation and a desire to speak it after getting laughed at and insulted for a awhile takes some commitment. As frustrating as it was I don't hold it against them. I have laughed at others trying to speak English as well. Not with malicious intent but just because it is funny sometimes. The type you speak of that don't like westerners speaking Thai are certainly around but I find I don't encounter it much. Lots of these sort of people are associated with the bar or tourist scene and don't like that you know the game.
  4. Feeling the squeezeee! I love it A simple app is dismantling these losers effortlessly. Even the army couldn't fix them. It's beautiful to watch.
  5. I came to recommend Audy from Inchan legal as well but I saw someone already did. Good English and puts in more effort than I've seen other lawyers do. I used him for my condo purchase and a couple of other things.
  6. I have the same experience with them where i live. Most of the rooms are occupied by russians and i seem to be on the screaming baby level. I didn't really know what to make of them before but after getting to know their behaviour im not a fan. The ones right next to me have a toddler that screams and cries the majority of the day. He seems about 3yo. The dad has a strange need to blow his nose constantly. Everytime he walks by the door he blows his boogers out onto the floor. Sometimes he will open the door to his room to poke his head out into the hall so he can blow his nose into the hallway. They seem to keep words hours starting up very late. They have no respect at all. Often running and screaming through the hall with the kids at like 11pm. Screaming all around the building. I've noticed they also like to impose themselves on people in public. For example "move your bike i want to park here", "I'm sitting here, you move for me" kind of things. Pretty tired of them also. I also wonder how they support themselves etc. It seems some work online somehow doing coding or marketing things and i reckon some are spoilt rich kids sustaining themselves using the families wealth. It's pretty cheap to live here after all. Hopefully it doesn't last much longer.
  7. "naked russian wandering around bashing people". "russian on the roof". "russian in the drain". "russian with a sword". "man wanted in russia arrested". Every couple of weeks
  8. I don't mind Golf decennially for messing around with the buggy and smashing balls. I can't imagine ever playing serious. As far as getting excited about it or watching it on tv I would rather watch grass grow.
  9. I see people playing here https://maps.app.goo.gl/UYRBau1JSRme1mJR9 But it never looks busy and it looks like maybe Thais are into different kind of games. I did see another place somewhere that I think was better actually but I can't remember where. It may have been at Naka or Chillva market even.
  10. Maybe it's that time of month?? Time for some Tampons in the mens barracks I think. Hard to keep a clear head when you're on the rag
  11. Canadas lost the plot. They are allowing 50yo trans men to change with young girls. They created a third trans sporting category yet all the trannys choose to continue dominating in the womens category and anyone who speaks out gets punished. Funny how it is a completely non-issue in Thailand.
  12. The car parking asistant security guard told them. Excellent work. Give this man a raise. It's great to be informed
  13. How hard is it to just do your job and take a person from A to B. If you can't do it get another job. His punishment should be to walk half way from Bkk to Pattaya with a big sign saying i'm a d***head while carrying 30kg of luggage and loss of job.
  14. I don't doubt your story. I saw a similar situation about 7 months ago in Phuket. The queue was full (lots of russians but not only them) 1 or 2 really officers with very poor people skills checking people in the queue yelling at people things like you stay too long or go back your plane. As if he were an officer talking to POWS or his platoon. Really dumb for a couple of reasons. •There's so much corruption with Phuket immigration. On one hand they can accept you without a care of how many tourist visas u had if u have the contacts yet on the other hand they treat normal legit tourists like cattle in an abbatoir. • screaming at lots of russians you been here too long bla bla then giving them special visas allowing them to stay longer. • it's just not how to talk to other humans. You go on holiday and your first 5 minutes in the country you're getting treated like a dog by a small hate filled man for no reason. I've been too 34 countries travelling alot because of my work and have rarely seen this kind of treatment
  15. "concerned nearby residents" I can imagine the daily sight of a foreigner on the beach driving some Thai crazy that he is not paying like a good boy. Until their poor little Thai soul cannot od ton anymore and have to report him.
  16. No i went in with stock standard union pay debit. They refused to give the MasterCard/visa which is listed in the website. She quietly upgraded me to siriroj union pay card which is over 800 baht a year from memory. A few papers all in Thai were passed to me to sign. I realised after the fact that one of those was an amendment paper.
  17. Koh larns rubbish gets put in a big stinky pile in the middle of the island. You'd think they might invest in some basic infrastructure or waste management before this overpriced pier
  18. I feel as if Thailand doesn't want people sending their money outside. Kind of like big brother China. I remember 9 years ago at kasikorn to send money out i had to provide a work permit and fill in a special form. That was money earnt within Thailand. So I've always been concerned about those being problematic again one day as i don't always have a work permit anymore and i have a lot more cash here now. Would be nice to know the official rules for the major banks about this. Really they should all be the same but this is Thailand. In this above situation i would call support from our the front of the bank and not mention anything about what happened and first ask the rules. When/if it's clear that you should be allowed then explain the issue. I did this wirh Bangkok Bank when they took a expired debit card as an opportunity to quietly upgrade me to the most expensive useless union pay debit card with insurance and refuse to give me a MasterCard. Then refuse to fix the issue when i went to fix it. Phone support for the branch on the line while i was on the line and they had to agree to fix everything. Then i closed my account. I can't accept a bank continuously trying to screw you and being so difficult to deal with. You need to have confidence in your bank at least.
  19. Ah yes Christmas day. A glowing reminder of how solitary and lonely my life in Thailand has become haha
  20. Shame move forward didn't get in and end the bulls**t code of silence surrounding things like this. Which hospital???
