I just scanned through quickly. Can't be bothered reading all. Pork loin is not really the best cut for roasting it's very lean and gets dry quickly if you cook it just a bit too much. I have cooked iberico pork ribs which is the loin with the bone attached but i cook them med-well. Pork leg or collar-butt would be more flavorful and less dry for roasting.

How many shops do you go to per day that force you to provide an email for a small, quick purchase < 400฿ ? I draw the line there. Others can draw it elsewhere. I couldn't care less. Hard to stop your private data being traded online completely but you can do your best to minimise it. There's a load of other reviewers on Google that also don't agree with the policy. Good question. You can't send any money out while you're alive without a work permit or the correct documents. I am interested to know how this works when dead too. I hate the thought of my family having to take weeks of work to deal with bureaucracy in Thailand. The mention of providing documents such as FET seems to be a good idea and something I had not considered preparing for my family.

Both sides are in the wrong. Entitled passengers should have had the cash or not got in the cab. This goes both way though. The amount of times I have got a taxi that said "sorry I don't have change" is basically a scam in itself. Taxi guy should have mentioned there was a further fee. I doubt they struck him because he was being overly polite. Argument escalated. Also never seen a Bolt metered taxi. Don't they require different plates as well. There seems to be a real us vs them vibe in the media in the last few years. Magnified by social media.

What visas are these guys on now? Do they still get the special longer tourist visas than lots of others? I noticed in a DTV podcast the other day they are not in the top 5 nationalities receiving it. They are everywhere and lots are staying long term. It's amazing what Thais will put up with for ฿.

I don't get the issue. Story not very clear. What is clear is this little Thai mans mindset is autmatically "need to find a weapon". They just can't fight fair can they. Not that attacking the elderly at 5am is fair to begin with. 5am the guy is probably yaba'd out of his head.

The guy is the same. There are other reports online about him just the same. I also used to go there for non-o and it was always a breeze. Not sure what changed. It really seems as if they have some sort of hidden quota of dtvs that go all to agent jobs or something. I googled this embassy to death before I went and have followed it very closely after. As far as I can see there were 2 succesful DTV reports that don't involve agent. One was the first DTV issued there. Then there is a growing number of bad reports. Some were sent to me privately. I understand the loss of patience. I was just about at the end of mine as well. I was away from home for 19 days and bleeding money.

She didn't say a word about my Thai statement and picked something else instead. The documents this malevolent woman refused were accepted the following week at another embassy. Anyone going to Savannakhet to do DTV is wasting there time and money IMO.

Unfortunate but obviously not the wisest choices. Not my thing but I would extra sceptical of any drugs in Thailand with them being so close and buddy buddy with China. China is one of the major sources of nitazenes and fentanyl.

Back before i got desensitized to this crap i gave the ones with babies food from nearby vendors a couple of times. If the eyes could speak they were yelling "wtf is this, where's the money". It's the beggars that don't beg that i support occasionally. Fake vs real are easily distinguishable.

My DTV approved at HCMC today. Muay Thai. 3.5 business days. Used the same documents that were presented in my previous failed application at Savannakhet.

I'll add wecafe to the list. Lots of faults but the Myanmar service is good and the food is generally decent and cheap. Add fold sourdough and cafe mahlzeit for bacon and eggs
