Electric Vehicles in Thailand

That is excellent news, but the owner was first sent up the Yangtze river without a paddle only to be rescued by social media. All in all it sound like a journey full of tears. -

Ohh no! Chinese IP67 is more about ingress than protection. The real story, why isn't this wet Seal owner sharing a happy story of BYD handing him the keys to a new vehicle? Surely his car is still under the amazing BYD warranty. -

I am just the factual messenger that get shot every time. The cherry 🍒 farm is located in the outback behind Brokeback Mountain ⛰️. -

I ignored the "over last month" part as I didn't think you were back on the cherry farm. -

Way back, many moons and boxes of wine 🍷 ago, it was squarely settled that month to month comparisons are total nonsense as auto sales are extreme seasonal. Y-o-y comparison is the only valid comparison and that was you leading that debate, back then. -

I have been using the autolife numbers, which seems to include all EVs. Hopefully they will eventually update the chart with May's numbers. -

True, but in April that only added 81 vehicles to the EV registrations tally. I don't think even a Florida style re-count will change that we have a y-o-y drop in May, but more numbers are always welcome and appreciated. -

Last month our northern wine conneciour was all dressed 👗 up and ready to go when he was denied entry at the last step to the Pearly Gate, thanks to 266 EV buyers. Back on green pasture, in the claim that we will never see 3 consecutive months of falling EV sales, the clock ⏰️ is again ticking down with May's y-o-y drop in registrations. -

Finally some meat 🍖 on the bone, although it sounds very low. Any chance you can find the Ciaz numbers for May? -

DLT is still withholding May's registration numbers? Numbers are probably so low, both for EVs and ICEs, that it is indicative the new government is facing a financial crisis. BOT had a talk with the banks on how to reduce loan rejection rates. While lower domestic cars sales is bad news, the Chinese auto export tsunami is about to demolish Thailand's auto export markets. -

Very nice write up and he doesn't blame the poor Burmese family. Rough say foe EVs. Here is what is left of a Volvo XC40. -
It amazed me that governments are so hell-bent on this EV nonsense that they will throw any amount of public money 💰 in an ever deeper and bottomless pit. What is the catch? Control? Another green tax further down the road?

The insurance myth is hereby confirmed. Insurance companies realized they were under-bidding each other, so once the free first year insurance expires, expect to pay a premium. -

That is pretty bad new......for BYD. They booked nearly 8,000 registrations in January 2024, but after that it was pretty abysmal. Anyhow, it is old news, we are waiting for May's numbers. -

DLT is really slacking off this month. It is almost as if they are embarrassed to share the low EV registration numbers. Meanwhile, let's learn something new. -
I am again having intermittent loss of data on my remote sensor. Nothing has changed on my side. The sensor is connected and working fine, data is just not getting uploaded. The router is also working fine, wifi is ON and Internet speed is very good. The fault must be on the ISP side, but what do I tell them?
