  1. Biden should step down and Blinken should step up. He would make an excellent president.
  2. Christopher G. Moore has material to write a new book.
  3. An American decided to write a book about famous churches around the world. So, he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to Orlando, thinking that he would start by working his way across the USA from North to South. On his first day, he was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read. '$10,000 per call'. The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for. The priest replied. "That is a direct line to Heaven and for $10,000 you can talk to God". The American thanked the priest and went along his way. Next stop was in Atlanta. There, in a very large cathedral, he saw another golden telephone, with the same sign under it. He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Orlando and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was. She told him. "That is a direct line to Heaven and for $10,000 you can talk to God". "OK, thank you," said the American. He then travelled all across America, then onto Europe, England, Japan, and New Zealand. In every church he saw an identical golden telephone with the same. '$10,000 per call' sign under it. The American decided to travel to Thailand, to see if Thailand had the same phone. After he landed in Thailand, he went into the first church he found. There was the golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read. '40 Cents per call.' The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign. "Father, I've travelled all over the world and I've seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but in all of them the price was $10,000 per call". "Why is it so cheap here?" The priest smiled and answered. "You're in Thailand now son......." "THIS IS HEAVEN," "so it's a local call’.🤣
  4. Sad that these bright minds are missing out on the amazing EV technology. ssstwitter.com_1720935433308.mp4
  5. Almost forgot the Ciaz Registrations. This is part of the debate, mostly between @vinny41 and @JBChiangRai, of the lag time between sales and registrations. The Ciaz promotion ran from March 1st to April 7th. There were zero "extra" registrations showing in the March numbers, but it looks like we are still seeing registrations in June for the promotion period, 3 month later. As @vinny41 already pointed out EV vendors have an incentive to complete the registration process faster, to cash in on the 150k government subsidy.
  6. We do, watching gloating goats 🐐 walk by.
  7. That is very kind of you. I live mostly underground, from drilling 20,000 ft wells to just recently digging out my septic tank. This is what I found.
  8. Next build?? You already have two houses 🏘. Are you adding a mia noi? It is made by the below guy 👦, I guess you can reach out to him on FB. https://www.facebook.com/share/H8xMJYryWDWMMYB6/?mibextid=qi2Omg
  9. Another BYD fuel tank attached to a wall in Roi-et, with a 20 kW inverter.
  10. Yes, June was a great month for EV sales (registrations), most likely fueled by the eye-watering discounts. I even gave EVs a 13.4% fraction (5,773/43,147). I still don't understand why autolife only list it as 13.1%, but maybe someone smarter than me, which according to some shouldn't be hard to find, can answer that question 🤔. Gloat away, you certainly deserve it, since it is your birthday 🎂 month. Save a bit of gloating for July, that should be another growth month, especially with the Atto 3 discount. September onwards might be a bit tougher 😬. You live in the high north where hardly any AC is needed. The AC comments are from a link that was shared in June, so the problem is real, at least for some. The jewel cooler is a quick fix, if u want to see it.
  11. July 1, 2024 EV summary Thailand 🇹🇭. Total EV registrations: 126,458 Total EV miles driven: 691.9 million miles June Highlights: - Suzuki is ceasing manufacturing and leaving Thailand. - Subaru is leaving Thailand by December 2024. - Seals are highly hydrophobic, but still loved ❤️ by many except for the rear suspension and weak aircon. It jumps like a frog 🐸. The aircon can be fixed with a jewel cooler. - Rats 🐀 like the taste of Atto 3 batteries 🔋. - EV owners enjoy endless software updates with Bluetooth and phone call bugs 🐛. But fear not, the old Microsoft trick of turning the car of and on still works.....sometimes. - If you spotted a farang with a ruler crawling around the gutters of western Bangkok, no need to alert the authorities. He is reportedly safely at home, but a comprehensive registry of curb height is available on demand. - You can now pimp your EV with an illuminated BYD logo 🤪. - Do not wear nail polish or perfume in your BYD, the interior will disintegrate. What will happen if you spill beer 🍺, asking for a friend 🤔? Thai EV fire 🔥 risk: 10.1 fire/billion miles Tesla global: 5 fire/billion miles ICE (USA): 55 fires/billion miles 1. Tesla 3 - September 20th, 2021, power pole collision Rama 2. 2. BYD Atto 3 - January 21st, 2023, house fire, Songkran. Traction battery did not burn. 3. BYD Seal - March 14th, 2024, Ratchaburi roll-over. 4. Porsche Taycan - May 24th, 2024, battery explosion, Paradise Car Showroom. 5. Neta-V - June 11th, 2024, median accident and fire, Saraburi. 6. Neta-V - June 12th, 2024, accident and fire at towing area, Tha Phra, Khon Kaen. 7. MG ES - June 22nd, 2024, hit axle part on the road, Chonburi motorway.
  12. Does that battery price include labor to swap out the battery or is that extra? The battery cost for your Seal 🦭 over 160,000 km is 3.60 baht/km or the equivalent of 10 km/l if dino fuel ⛽️ was used. That is rather expensive.
  13. From what I can see both ICE and EV registration numbers for June are almost identical to May, but let's wait for the numbers to be released later today. BYD was the 1,000 lbs gorilla in 2023, as @Pib so eloquently puts it, but slowly they are being reduced to a small monkey.
  14. Second month in a row with falling registration numbers for BYD. The Thai's have had enough of BeYond Discount!
  15. Value for money? Every model from China 🇨🇳 is on fire 🔥 sale. Build cheap - sell cheap.
  16. Did the BYD factory 🏭 open on July 4th?
  17. 4.7% is now "a couple of precentage"? The ginger Aussie has now also been exposed to precentage debilitating electromagnetic radiation.
  18. Currently about 1% of registered cars in Thailand 🇹🇭 are EVs, while the other 99% are ICEs, including hybrids. Are these "everyone" in the room with us now?
  19. Welcome to the Chinese way of doing business. If the customers ain't kicking and screaming after a sale, the Chinese feel they have left money on the table. BYD knows exactly what they are doing and don't give a damn about Thai buyers.
  20. Unbroken. Fantastic book.
  21. Could be. The autolife numbers are actually registrations and not just sales numbers. Ignoring January, the D-segment is almost split 50/50 between ICE and EV's, which is also what we see on the road in Bangkok.
