  1. Wow, nearly 400,000 baht discount on the Good cat. 25% down-payment and it is all yours, until the repo-guy knocks on ur door.
  2. All valid points, but with a million EV cars on the road, some EV buyers are probably also being lured away from the showrooms and into the second hand EV market. This is something we haven't seen in Thailand yet, but if and when the BYD fabric start pumping out 150,000 units, we might get a thriving second hand market around 2025/26 and that could put a damper on new EV sales. "There are now over a million electric cars on our roads.....
  3. Is it possible you add the sim number in the My AIS app to monitor the data usage, up- and downloads? The reason I ask, it that there is some debate in Europe that China is collecting and commercializing data from EVs. This could just be driver behavior, that is then sold to insurance companies, but it could also be both voice and video recordings in and around the car.
  4. @Pib, @Gweiloman Do you then have to have a separate mobile package for the car's sim card and can you freely choose the service provider? What is the monthly data usage? Will the car work if you decide to remove the sim card and go "dark"?
  5. Technical question to our EV owners. How and how much are these new EVs connected to the Internet? Do they have a sim card and always connected like a mobile phone or is it wifi only? If using the home wifi, is it then always connected when within range or just connecting or just when charging or just when an software update requires connectivity?
  6. Wait, what now? Mr. Chiang Rai lives in Chiang Mai? ๐Ÿ˜•
  7. Your wish has been granted ๐ŸŽฉ ๐Ÿช„ ๐Ÿ”ฎ.
  8. You have a new lease on life, based on your new EV market share metrics. I have made a little chart, just for you. It was a close call in February and starting May the first ray of summer sun โ˜€๏ธ might start to shine.
  9. That is a mind-boggling high density of charging station, presumably all build in the last 2 years. Does the app show the total number of public charging stations, all sizes and speed included?
  10. The EV charging station at my building is great ๐Ÿ‘ as a pitstop area to prep the Bimmer for the road trip. Is it a fast charger?
  11. I am also cheering for higher April sales, as our esteemed Chiang Rai member claims we won't see 3 consecutive months of declining EV sales in his lifetime. I think we have to see all of 2024 sales before we can draw any conclusions, maybe even 2025 sales numbers. There are a lot of unknowns, price cutting, newer and smaller models, shifting political will, economic slowdown, Chinese factories opening up, or possibly delaying opening up. For now it is just a bit up and down, but nevertheless fun to follow.
  12. There is a word for people who don't identify with the vehicle they drive, it is called: A female ๐Ÿ™„
  13. I will help him cut a few Coke Zero cans and stick them on as exhaust pipes, so the MG doesn't feel so naked next to the Bimmer.
  14. Let's keep the name calling for the kindergarten and focus on the EV sales numbers y-o-y: January: +352.5% February: -33.9% March: -19.5% The honeymoon period is over for EVs.
  15. Keep on dreaming. EV sales were exactly 10.6% of total sales both in February and March, 2024. Legacy auto manufacturers are doing great ๐Ÿ‘, thanks for asking. Total Returns over last year... Toyota: +71% Stellantis: +65% Ferrari: +56% Honda: +40% GM: +24% BMW: +14% Ford: +13% Mercedes-Benz: +11% Tesla: -20%
  16. @JBChiangRai did summer just arrive? Ohhhh, sorry Goggles new personalized AI search engine must have misinterpreted my "two swallows" search!
  17. Yeah, it is our favorite PTT, it is exactly 100ฯ€ or 314 km from Bangkok.
  18. The Bimmer will be rolling by Saturday morning so you might wake up to the roaring in-line 6 cylinders. We will be stopping at this PTT (https://maps.app.goo.gl/7wvDmAo7jiYMJi157) to top up the 750 kWh power pack, offload some vomit and have breakfast at the Black Canyon, if you want to meet the EOW clan. The vomit is from the two years old, she doesn't yet fully appreciate the smooth Bimmer ride.
  19. Nope, she doesn't have a sister, she has two sisters!
  20. All the food shared here looks delicious, the wife just take pride in her plating. She wanted to repeat the beef tenderloin, but this time with hollandaise sauce.
  21. Total respect for the commitment and faith you have in your Chinese "tech". You should have about 30,000 km on the odometer by now, right? Most ICEVs will do 100,000 km without much service. Let's see if the MG can make it to the magic 100k mark, if not I can with almost certainty guarantee you that the tow truck that will scoop up the MG will run on that magic jurassic dino juice.
  22. Details, details SeรฑorLA., that first 3 in 12,333 should be an 8. EV ... 12,833 baht, there, fixed it for you.
