TAT Proposes Extended Visa-Free Stays to Boost Tourism
alex8912 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They are not going for " most people " for this plan. The Thai baht is also very weak. Thousands of snow birds and long term tourist travelers would spend huge amounts of baht ( especially by not HAVING to go to another country after 30 or 60 days here) do the math. It's a ton of money lost. Vaping and politics don't discourage " most " tourists either. You've been here too long and tink to mutt wrong! The alcohol hours also don't make people not come. Every single thing you list is something virtually no tourist knows or cares much about. -
Bank of Thailand urged to slash interest rates amid economic struggle
alex8912 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Seems like thousands of migrants are missing out on good jobs but keep flooding the USA according to your post. I wonder if CNN or BBC or MSN will do stories about amazing missed opportunities! -
Is that what a TM 30 actually is? I still have not seen a copy of what a TM 30 that you would bring to immigration looks like. I've never seen it posted here. But read about you have to bring it constantly. When staying at a hotel the night before I have bought a copy of the list of foreigners with my name and passport number and dates staying. Also a copy of what looks like a normal receipt. But I never felt either of them was a " TM30". Anyways a couple weeks ago at Hua Hin they were asking several people for room keys!! I had a post card and they actually gave me an approval.

Lone Kuwaiti Tourist Fights Off Five Young Teen Robbers in Pattaya
alex8912 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Omg. Are you waaaaay off about me!! I also don't think the average Thai teenager even knows what liberal means in Thai! Why don't you read Barry's post again. Just because he was never out at 2 or 3am when he was a teen he is also blanketing his entire country ( that he won't mention ). I am sure that crimes with young people with knives or whatever in his perfect little country still happen. I bet there are publications in his perfect country that also OMIT these crimes and hopefully others that report it. These articles are picked sometimes for a REASON. One is it excites posters on here to post. 70 million Thais out last night here and we have a crime! -

alex8912 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
What is your country? This crime is not common in Thailand as well. You've had 2 times where you don't mention your country. Name it!!! Do you understand these articles are picked out for a reason? Many of us walk around Bangkok mega city as well and never ever see this! -

No. Your post sounds like people who are young in your own country don't do the same. That is complete BS!! -

You are from North Korea? -
But you have to admit. This is completely not common in Bangkok/ Thailand. It's actually quite rare. Forget about Europe! I almost got pick pocketed 2x in the same day in Amsterdam on the trams. I had no bags! Literally into a side pocket! I felt it both times luckily.
-
I'm a 7 min walk to Paya Thai and very healthy. I find the walk, distance ( maybe 280m seems more from Phayathai BTS to link) and just transfer in the heat pretty ridiculous. There are threads on this I believe. The taxi to paya Thai area is more like 280/300 literally door to door. So easy and I am one of the fortunate posters to have a great clean and fine driving experience all the time. I wish some of you would post these " horrible"experiences with drivers. I'd say we would all see the reason most of the time. Anyways you saved about 5/6$!!

Thanks for your post. The sky trains and MRT seem just sooo extra safe for us because they are. In Amsterdam, Barcelona or Rome you could almost guarantee a trip similar to yours would have involved a pick pocket but not in BKK. It sounds like you put your bag on just as you exited. I think that is very common to do. I think several of us will just keep it down by our legs , get off train and when there is space then put on.

He was just getting off the train it seems it was on his other bag during transport. Please forgive him and others for their foibles.

Wasn't that rambling as you read it. I haven't read ANY report about immigration asking for your room key, have you? Maybe you have. There are many WRONG reports of how soon you can apply for a 30 day extension and I pointed that out as well. Your completely sarcastic comment is noted. You are so funny and your one fan has of course added an emoji. Oh my...war and peace being a long book and a couple paragraphs are SOOOOO similar.

Does using a VPN impact online banking?
alex8912 replied to BananaBandit's topic in IT and Computers
I have that problem with Capital One when I'm here in Thailand but when I want to access that I just switch my Thai SIM card with my USA Sim Card ( I'm not sure how that works with I phone 14 which doesn't take SIM cards , that's why I have I phone 13) then I can get the code myself and log in. -

alex8912 replied to BananaBandit's topic in IT and Computers
You just mentioned you have NordVpn. why would you need to go through the hassle with your sister and getting a code from her? I have Nord and a Schwab account. I never need to get a code from them. Did you specifically ask for it this way? -
