  1. As I just posted, property over the long term has been proven to increase in value. However, that's not what the member said. He basically said, "you can never lose" and I disagree with that. As you have said, sometimes, for some reasons, property can take a "big dip" and some people lose.
  2. You graph proves my point. See years 2009 and 2011? Prices dropped. You said this: "Unless you are inside trading, then land & RE are never losers" Your own graph shows this as incorrect. If you said words like, "over the long term, property only gains in value" or similar, I would have agreed, but you said "property never losers" and that's incorrect.
  3. It will take western countries a while to catch up to Thailand.
  4. I guess you never studied how Thailand profited from the Vietnam war.
  5. Did he also say he might not have a job after the election?
  6. Did the amount paid / withdrawn / withheld have a name? Did you ask Bangkok Bang about it?
  7. Not hard for them to compel banks to report annual remittance over the threshold to the TRD. In Australia, every transaction over $10,000AUD is reported to AUSTRAC, a government agency.
  8. Australia can't afford for the housing bubble to burst. The government has to keep pouring fuel on that fire. Remember what happened in America in 2008, it would be worse in Australia. For Aussie expats in Thailand, you would be lucky to get 15 baht for $1AUD.
  9. Back up your data and reset the computer. Start with a clean slate.
  10. Ok, so, next question is, How did the "little mark on the screen" get there? Does it have a SSD or HDD?
  11. Youtube have been underpaying content creators for years. A members only section for payment is a way they can actually get paid for making their content. There's nothing wrong with paying a little for content that is helpful, or of interest to you. It supports the content creator.
  12. Is it any different to an android box that you could have bought in Thailand?
  13. Alcohol is taxed twice a year in Australia, so it has a compounding effect. As we are seeing with cigarettes, a black market flourishing, eventually, we will see the same with alcohol. Aussies could very well end up buying, and consuming, backyard distilled Lao Khao in the future.
  14. Spinning fast as every day passes. http://australiandebtclock.com.au How can a country with such an abundance be so badly mismanaged and in so much debt?
  15. For what it's worth, the word "pension" is used to describe monthly income generated by a super fund, but in many cases it's actually an "annuity." Therefore, using the word "pension" for these payments can be incorrect.
  16. The DTA does not cover this type of income. It is taxable in Thailand.
  17. Many of the elderly feel safer handling their cash inside the branch, and not on the footpath. There's good reason for this. Many of them would get their handbag snatched just leaving the ATM on pension day. Probably why some banks now have their ATM's behind sliding doors, 24/7, that you need to swipe your card to gain access.
  18. One is "entitled" to apply for it based on age. Whether they are approved to receive it, or part of it, is a different story.
  19. There will be no Aussie aged pension in the future for people who have worked throughout their life. Their super will push them over any means testing, so no pension for them. Same old, same old. The workers paying for those who can, but don't work, ever.
  20. Can you give an example? Seems like the usual suspects to me.
  21. Thank you for following me. I post in more than two forums. Be sure to check out all my posts, and hit the like button.
  22. Probably because, unlike you, I post content.
  23. That's because your link was worth <deleted> all. Nothing new in it.
