Joe Biden Favored to Beat Donald Trump in 538 Election Forecast
Gsxrnz replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's a tad presumptive to assume that Biden will even win the nomination. Odds on that "for health reasons" he is replaced by Newsom or Mrs. Obama. Even the DNC know that a three-legged donkey can't win the Kentucky Derby.- 374 replies

Tory Rift Over Farage: A ‘Spoiled Child’ or a Potential Ally?
Gsxrnz replied to Social Media's topic in World News
You never know, Farage has a way of making far too much sense. Future Brits may celebrate 4 July as their new Independence Day. -

Thai Pilots Association opposes eased restrictions for foreign pilots

A mate who held a senior position in Air New Zealand's engineering department once told me that apart from JAL and SAL, don't ever contemplate flying on any other Asian airline. Good advice. -
Only a matter of time until Reichsmarschall Ardern assumes another global position of power to force her version of dystopia on the populace. She'll (and I use the pronoun "she" somewhat generously) probably end up as Chief WHO Commissar and have us all living in a gulag while she sticks us like pigs. The road to hell is paved with good intentions - and Ardern has a lot to answer for. I can tolerate negligence, but that cow was downright malevolent.

You have to accept that all the trendy "-ism's" are simply a replacement for the lack of meaning, purpose, and religion in their lives - and almost without exception, the proponents of said "-ism's" fell from the ugly tree and are socially incompetent. The rare exception being the odd one or two that are good looking enough to monetize their "ism". Climatism, Veganism, Vegetarianism, Transgenderism, and Fourth Wave Femenazism et al are merely ersatz replacements for traditional family values and belief in a transcendent power. Just ask Nietzsche. I'm a lapsed atheist and Petersonian, and proud of it.

Pattaya’s persistent peddlers: Foreign flower sellers annoy tourists
Gsxrnz replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Once observed a one-legged street beggar slide down a narrow Soi, open the back of his Fortuner to retrieve his prosthetic leg, throw his wheelchair in the back, and proceed on his way. And I'm sure the one-armed young bloke who always wears an extremely oversize shirt does have two arms. One day I expect to catch him driving a Lambo. -
The Social Disintegration Threatened by Mass Immigration in Britain

Milton! thou shouldst be living at this hour: England hath need of thee: she is a fen Of stagnant waters: altar, sword, and pen, Fireside, the heroic wealth of hall and bower, Have forfeited their ancient English dower Of inward happiness. We are selfish men; Oh! raise us up, return to us again; And give us manners, virtue, freedom, power. Thy soul was like a Star, and dwelt apart: Thou hadst a voice whose sound was like the sea: Pure as the naked heavens, majestic, free, So didst thou travel on life's common way, In cheerful godliness; and yet thy heart The lowliest duties on herself did lay. The UK has difficult times ahead !
Gsxrnz replied to TorquayFan's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Yes, the UK has certainly been an interesting socialist experiment. Margeret Thatcher gave Britannia half a chance to recover from the madness, and then Blair and Brown found reverse and hit the gas pedal. There hasn't been a true conservative administration in place since 1990. Tp paraphrase T.S Eliot, the UK is dying with a whimper, not a bang. Only a matter of time until it's renamed the UAK -

The Thai solution is obvious - convert your truck to a ten-wheeler by removing an axle or two. Pleased the governor has altruistically exempted firetrucks from the ban.

You're spot-on. A BRICS currency announcement is just around the corner. It will be pegged against a weight of gold and will severely dent the USD hegemony. Suddenly circa 50% of the world's population, GDP, oil production that are part of BRICS+ will have a trading currency that does not require them to acquire USD reserves. Russia and China et al will sit back and watch the fiat USD fall in value against gold due to the printing presses being on full steam, as the BRICS currency automatically maintains its gold relativity. The theft of Russia's USD holdings was the final straw. The petrodollar is on its deathbed, and nobody seems to realize it.

Thailand’s Aging Population Challenges Economic Growth

Worldwide, bureaucrats need to make new rules and laws to justify their existence. Ultimately, everything will be illegal. And then the world will be a perfect dystopia.

Tourists behaving badly told to smarten up or stay home!
Gsxrnz replied to Shmo's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
I remember the good old days when travelling was expensive, and governments didn't yet steal enough of the taxpayers money to redistribute to the CHAV's, Bogans, or Rednecks (pick your vernacular) to allow them to afford to be a tourist. The death of God and the rise of post-modernist cultural Marxism hasn't done the world many favors. -
Floods in Pattaya Cause Part of Third Road to Collapse

So they park a JCB only metres away from the subsidence without knowing what's underneath it. Or are there three safety flip-flop wearing Somchai's underneath it doing an inspection by the light of their Huwawei phones as the pic was taken?
