Wasn't the vaccine mandatory for nurses? So that might caused some to resign as well? -
Thai Police Prepare for PM Election Day Protests

I don't know what you talk about. There were no delays...what delays? The EC was way faster than they could be. They have 60 days. They quickly confirmed everyone. Than immediately they met and selected the speaker. No the people did not select a government. There was no government on the ballot. There were parties. Non of the parties could win a majority of the MPs (more than half) so they negotiate a coaliton. With the MPF having 151 and PTP having 141 votes and a majority is >250 there are several different coalition governments possible. Fascists.....google the word....no Fascists here....you can vote them in Italy. -
How would you call it? The MPs vote with an majority >250 MPs for a prime minister. All the MPs are democratically elected....sounds democratic, right? But without the Senators they MAYBE (as no one know what game PTP would have played if there are no Senators which they can blame) would have voted for another person. How you call it? It is not undemocratic but it is also not complete clean.

I don't know if that is still the case, but you could book Thai Airways to Austria....and than you sit in an Austrian Airlines airplane. If you would have booked the same as Austrian Airlines flight it would have cost half. If I am a Thai person...maybe not good in English and think...better Thai Airways....I get the food I know, I can speak my language and than you sit in an AUA airplane. Maybe they mention it now, but a few years ago it was not mentioned.

yes you are most probably right, but Pita is not the only possible democratic elected PM. Other persons will also have a majority of MPs. That solution with the senators is pretty bad, but not that much undemocratic as people say. I don't know how the new selection of them, when they expire will happen..

no it won't.....maybe some demonstrations and some teargas, but I can't see any people who want violence. And if the protests aren't violent the police won't. I expect some mean words...and maybe some lawsuits because some crazy speak about murdering someone....but no or not much violence. Red and Yellow have experiences with demonstrations. Orange has not -

Could be for just in case.... -
the senats are a nonsense but the can not block much, they can only bend a little bit. They aren't a single block They can't block an overwhelming vote of 376 MPs They can't install a PM who has less than 250 votes in Parliament (because he can't govern without majority). So it is only that they have some influence.

No Pita was not voted by the people as Thailand votes for parties. MF was the strongest party with 38% of the votes which is 28% of the possible voters. 28% is not "the people" as 72% did not MF. Any government that has more than 50% of the MPs is democratic and there are many different options, as PT is almost as strong as MF.
