Once crossed into Cambodia and spent the night in a border town. Next day on the minibus to PP got to talking about weed with some passengers. A young European fellow with a mullet said some Aussies at his hotel had some great stuff the night before, said they went into Thailand that morning, taking their stash with them. I flipped, it was back when T was originally PM (2003) and there was some gruesome police killings at the time relating to drugs, a shoot first and ask questions later thing. Mullet boy said "what do you expect them to do, throw it away?" uuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm................ Assumption of intelligence is so passe.

So they are sort of like aircraft carriers (floating cities) but without the flight decks, helipads of course. -
Chinese ‘Invasion Barges’ Raise Fears of Taiwan Assault

A weakened US gov't and military, a buffoon in the WH with a short leash on Congress, a fools' parade for a cabinet, a foreign agent inside the info vaults of the US, and a reduction in US military: great time for a war. -

I saw a clip of him being interviewed a few days ago, he looked genuinely rattled, never saw him before without the chimpanzee facial expressions. Maybe he was crashing from some medication. Looks like he's pushing himself too hard, my guess is he'll sell off something. I'd go with the cars, they are a chronic problem with recalls and liabilities: he sells it to GM (for example) and they inherit all the innovations it brings. I wonder if DT can pin something on him so convincingly egregious that he will be banished from US gov't dealings -- there goes the rocket taxi. Do bear in mind this is the guy who wants to put a chip in your brain https://observer.com/2025/01/elon-musk-neuralink-30-brain-implants-2025/ I think all this ridiculous display and deception is going hurt his name (meaning his brand). When it's time to get him out of the WH they'll sic the dogs Fox/OAN on him.

Sounds a lot like that meeting with Zelensky getting double-teamed. I think it didn't get covered by the mainstream press as much (and definitely not on Fox) when some jerk in the room asked Z if he had a suit, and Z responded "when the war is over I will buy a suit, like the one you are wearing, but better." The important thing is that it is good television.

I suspect Vlad has told him to bring the US economy to the level of Russia's. I suspect the Canada and Greenland silliness originated with Vlad to ensure the northern sea-lanes passage for Russia. If US takes over Panama Canal same-same. Executive Arrogance re-defining tariff. He thinks if he repeats his definition of it enough the word will change its meaning. It looks like it's time to dust off the 25th Amendment. Again. Also notice the word treason is popping up again. For a guy who demands to be seen as strong and powerful he sure has a lot of guys he subordinates himself to.

RussiaRussiaRussia is a cesspit, and the way DT keeps bringing it up to denounce it is proof that it is something that he still fears will catch up with him. It would have been forgotten, like so many of his antics over the past ten years, but he keeps bringing it up: odd behavior, no? The MAGA patriots probably don't even know what it is. One of the Biden admin's big mistakes was his choice of attorney general.

There was a certain Thai PM not long ago who I noticed only appointed people who were stupider than him. The full-display moment was when he was in exile and the street demonstrations were going on, he sent three minions to deal with the other side who were much like a redshirt version of the US's Three Stooges. The difference here is that former PM was actually a successful and knowledgeable business man. It isn't easy for this guy in the US to find someone dumber than himself. It has been reported that when King Charles requested an audience with his nibs one of his staff said "He probably wants to discuss Canada" to which another staffer said "what does the king have to do with Canada?"

Ah, fond memories of the Cold War era. "The USSR only wants peace!" The only requirement is that you concede to them. This stance by DT is just yet another bit of show biz, my guess would be the pollsters told him this coochie-coochie relationship isn't playing well with the MAGA congregation. Ooo, DT getting all butched up and confrontational against Vlad, how convincing! Just wait until their next meeting: "Donaldt, you have been naughty boy! You must take down trouser." For a spanking, of course.

British Retirees Escape Thai Jail After Violent Land Dispute
bendejo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
From what I've seen in my travels, it's not all that unusual to find expats fighting with each other, and I don't mean in Thailand exclusively. Some bring their lousy attitudes with them, others get drawn into the idiocy, like these 2. Translation: the attackers (the "British man and his Thai partner") had a better of understanding of how the Thai legal system and law enforcement functions. -

Inside the Prison Cell Where Thai Police Chief 'Joe Ferrari' Died
bendejo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The schmuck should have sold off a few cars and took it on the lam, living off of the dosh in to old age. He should have been smart enough to keep a lower profile, rather than be Mr Ferrari, and understand that luck has a tendency to run out at times. -
The wound healed pretty damned quick, didn't it? Not a mark. "Everyone is saying it's a miracle, blah blah, the Pope should be visiting him!"

Must Read Ex-Police Chief "Joe Ferrari" Commits Suicide in Thai Prison

Right. So he was sentenced to die in prison. That was three years ago. Now he has fulfilled his sentence, and he was only in the kennel for less than three years. So he managed to get a reduced sentence? </dark.humor> All those cars, he should have used one to drive down to Singapore. -
